Best Western McCarran Inn

Quick in at the desk, nice open atrium, very quiet room right next to the airport, breakfast area was small and crowded.

Good location at a good price. breakfast was average. Not well maintained, but clean.

The hotel itself was very clean and great price! It's only a couple of blocks away from the strip so it's nice and quiet.

We were shuttled to the WRONG Best Western by "accident" by one of the airport shuttle drivers and when we walked into the wrong hotel, my first reaction was, "YIKES". The wrong hotel was a little seedy and smelled like an ashtray. However, the staff there was friendly and our booked Best Western has a shuttle service that actually came to pick us up. We were very, very grateful and appreciative of the wonderful customer service. The driver was actually one of the front desk guys and he didn't seem put out in the least bit. He was very nice. The Best Western McCarren Inn offers a shuttle service every hour after 4pm and we took advantage of it. The driver did tell us that it was a common practice of the shuttle drivers and cabbies to drop you off at the wrong location to syphen more $$ out of you. Good to know. He also suggested McCormick and Schmick's restaurant for dinner. Later the older gentlemen that worked the front desk/shuttle driver with a thick accent was just as friendly and informative. He suggested that we tell the cab drivers that we prefer the non scenic route to the strip. We did and the cab driver was not at all pleased by our request, but managed to get us to the MGM anyway in ten minutes. The BW McCarren Inn is one we will definitely go back to, it was clean, it smelled clean, and the breakfast was good, and the room was immaculate! We did have some operator errors with the energy efficient A/C, but the nice girl with braided hair handled it within two minutes. Everyone there was extremely friendly, we didn't swim in the pool, but it looked really clean when we walked by it. You won't be dissapointed in your stay! The customer service was outstanding!

THE HOTEL IS VERY CONVENIENT FOR SHORT STAYS. ITS VERY CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT AND THEY OFFER FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE TO THE AIRPORT AND COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST. THE HOTEL STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND THE ROOMS ARE QUIET AND VERY NEAT. THE ONLY THING BAD WAS THAT THE AC IS NOT WORKING FINE AND THEY SEEM TO SHUT IT OFF AT NIGHT.LAS VEGAS IS VERY HOT DURING THIS TIME OF THE YEAR AND HENCE IT MATTERED.ALSO ONE WILL HAVE TO BRING THEIR OWN WATER AND ALSO TAKE CARE OF LUNCH AND DINNER. THE NEAREST RESTAURANTS ARE SITUATED ABOUT A MILE FROM THE HOTEL.ON THE WHOLE VERY COMFORTABLE TO SPEND A FEW HOURS IN THE DAY.

I really liked the hotel for the price I paid, the lobby looks a little outdated but the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. I decided to stay in a hotel off the strip and it was actually a good choice. It was super close to the airport and about two or three blocks from the strip.

Left two sport jackets and four shirts on the bed in my room when I checked out. I realized my error as soon as I arrived home. Called immediately and a female checked with housekeeping and told me they had found my jackets and MY SHIRTS. I asked if they would FedEx the jackets and shirts to me. They said yes and took my credit card info. Two days later I received a small package with 2 sport jackets... BUT NO SHIRTS. I immediately called the hotel and asked what happened to the shirts, lady said they didn't find any shirts. I explained that the lady I initially spoke with on my original call, verified to me that they had found the jackets AND shirts (which were laying on top of the jackets). I told the second lady I spoke with that if they found the jackets (which they sent to me...) they had to have found the shirts which were laying on top of the jackets. She said the staff were honest and would have turned in the shirts if they found them. My question to her then was obviously... If they sent me the jackets which were laying under the shirts, how could they possibly have NOT found the shirts which were laying right on top of the jackets? She of course feigned ignorance and could not answer how housekeeping found jackets which were under the shirts... but didn't find the shirts. I explained that was an impossibility! If you make the mistake of staying at the Best Western McCarran Hotel in Las Vegas, be sure to watch your belongings and make sure you don't leave anything behind. Suffice it to say I will never stay an another Best Western Hotel... no matter where it is... and will certainly apprise my friends and associates of this ludicrous outcome! Best Western McCarran's advertising constantly talks about the hotel having been updated throughout. All I saw was an old hotel that was mediocre at best, which didn't appear as though it had been updated within the past 20 years.

This was a short overnight stay to make early air flight in the a.m. Very comfortable and close to airport. They provide long term parking with overnight stay which is a bonus. Also have shuttle service which begins at 5:00 a.m. each day. We have stayed here several times and they never disappoint us.

We had a great stay at the McCaran Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. Houskeeping came in daily and provided us with fresh towels and a tidy room. The continental breakfast was great and plentiful. The shuttle to/from the airport and to the strip was a great hit to us. We'd stay again at the Best Western upon return to Las Vegas. The only down side we had was an electrial problem in our room which put the hair dryer out of commission for two days. That was the only negative thing that occurred during our stay.
