Best Western McCarran Inn

Arriving late at night, only minutes from the airport, the Best Western McCarran Inn provided us with an ideal solution to our overnight need. Comfortably furnished, very clean, every needed room amenity supplied, quality breakfast selection, helpful front desk staff .. and no problem with early morning aircraft as earplugs provided (which we did not need). We would definitely stay at McCarran Inn, Las Vegas again.

Quite noisy and pretty basic. Standard breakfast . Staff are not so hot, especially the shuttle bus driver who only spoke Spanish, and dropped us off at the wrong place, but didn't seem to care either way! 25 mins walk to "The Strip"

We really liked that this hotel was only 5 minutes from the airport. However, each morning we were woken up early by the planes taking off. Guess that's what happens when your hotel is less than a mile from the airport. We had a king deluxe room and it was very large and comfortable. They offer free shuttle service to/from the airport and the 2 closest casinos, MGM and Hard Rock. If you want to go to any other casinos you have to walk (and it's a LONG way!) or take a taxi ($$$) or the bus ($). It would have been nice if they offered shuttle to a 3rd casino about halfway down the strip. If you take the shuttle back to the airport, make sure you find out what time it's leaving the hotel. We were out front ready to go (we were told it leaves at the top of every hour) and were told the shuttle wouldn't be leaving for over 20 minutes. We still made our check-in time but just barely. This hotel does NOT have a hot tub, and we were definitely wishing for one after all the walking we did on the Strip! They offer free wifi but after a few hours, our Touchpad wouldn't connect to it. We called the front desk but they wouldn't give us the network password because they said they weren't having any internet problems. We took our touchpad to other wifi hotspots and it worked fine, so something had to be wrong at the hotel. The breakfasts were ok considering the price- free. Overall, if we go to Vegas again, we would rather stay ON the Strip than off. This hotel was convenient to the airport but not to any other attractions.

We needed a place to stay with easy access to the McCarran airport for one night. This place was perfect, it was clean and it has been renovated. Take note that even it says there is a free shuttle to the airport, this service is not 24h.

hotel accommodations were adequate but I waited 45 minutes for the airport shuttle service in 100 deg heat. Ugh!

Neat and Clean

This is a very old hotel with very minor recent renovations. Modern bedding style, drapery, espresso headboard and furniture aesthetics. But carpet, AC appliance, and bathroom fixtures & tiles were original and old. Earplugs are provided because you can hear all the activity outside the room. Our room was near the open staircase, so it was very noisy.

rooms were not totally clean, the carpet was dirty, they certainly can work on the hygiene in the hotel... breakfast was ok, staff were pretty friendly, except made service.. there was no fridge in the room, which i found weird

Pros: This is a very nice hotel for a weekend trip. The double queen room was spacious and comfortable. The pool area was nice and the warm breakfast was tasty and filling. For the price there isn't a room as close to main attractions as this, plus there's a free shuttle to and from the hotel. Best of all the staff was friendly and accommodating. Cons: No fridge in the room, but the ice machine and a cooler work well. The room had a "green" switch that turned some fixtures on and off when a room key was inserted. Sadly the air conditioning turned out to be one of the items that didn't run 100% without a room key in the switch.

The good: clean, smoke-free, free breakfast and free shuttle to strip & airport. Bad: Noisy cuz close to airport however, I expected that. Good hotel if you do not want to be on strip & have early or late flight.
