Inexpensive LV Lodging

Spent one night after arriving in Vegas before heading to S. Utah. For a relatively inexpensive rate the room was large (actually a suite) and clean. The lobby is noisy and can be a bit smoky (next to the small casino-like area). There is a choice of a breakfast buffet and restaurant. We did the buffet, which was decent for the price. The only problem was that one in our group had to get a "smoking" room despite our reserving non-smoking rooms as by the time we got to the hotel (after midnight) there were no more non-smoking rooms left. They said it wasn't too bad.

Convention friendly

Very close to Convention Center and Monorail so we didn't have to rent a car. The pool was nice. The staff were great about helping us to get places and to work with us when the power went out for 12 hours. The rooms were clean and maintained. The curtains in the room could be closed as to block out any light and it enabled us to get rest while it was bright and 101 degrees outside. A lovely place to stay just of the beaten path but close enough to venture out easily.

great for the price

The Mardi Gras hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were larger than I expected. The living room was separate from the bedroom which made it very comfortable to sit and relax without feeling like you were in someones bedroom. It was very quiet and easily excessable to the strip with the shuttle provided by the hotel. Everyone was friendly and the slots were enough to keep one going all night without ever leaving the hotel. The restaurant was small but the food was good and it was open late. I would recommend it to a friend and would definitely stay there again.

They even had access to a computer for departures on your airline with a printer to print your boarding pass early before getting to the airport. The crab cakes at the restaurant were delicious!

Very family friendly

Hotel staff were great. The restaurant gave us non alcohol drinks on the house. It was nice to have two queen size beds that were separated by a knee wall. A microwave would have been nice to have.

Great Value for Non-Tourists

We have a relative in Vegas who suffered a massive stroke. It was necessary for us to travel there almost weekly for several weeks to handle her affairs and assist in her recovery. We wish we discovered this hotel sooner. For the price, this hotel is leagues above similarly-priced places. The rooms are clean and quiet and the staff are extremely helpful. The kitchenette proved to be very useful. My only quibble would be that the second time I stayed there, the WiFi reception was a little rough. While it states in their guest brochure that there is a LAN cable option, that is not the case. To their credit, they tried their best to figure out why the WiFi wasn't working for me. This is a great place to stay for those on a budget who don't mind having a little distance from the strip.

great deal

The room was great - big and clean with all the amenities. The service was excellent and they upgraded our room as they didn't have what we asked for. The lobby has a restaurant/ bar and slot machines which were a bit crowded and noisy but the room was good.

Far Better Than Motels

Again, very good place to stay for non-tourists. Having to make multiple trips to Las Vegas for family business, this has become my go-to place to stay. It's quiet, affordable and not choked with tourists and party-goers. Far more preferable than staying at a motel.
