Getting Old

The room I had is run down. Carpet stained, toilet rocks, fan is loud, shower a lot short of clean, bathroom sink was cracked, room furnishing are very dated ,and beat-up.I tossed out the same TV 10 years ago. The iron worked fine, and the bed was OK. Non-smoking room still has that smell. There was a $3 per day charge to use the room safe. Outside in front concrete needed presure washing, Old is fine if it is maintained, but Ballys needs some work. Location was good, but I could here a music beat from somewhere until like 2:00AM. I wouldn't stay there again, and definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Bargain rates - but not a bargain.

After paying for a room upgrade, I expected decent furnishings. Not so. The desk veneer was seriously flawed; the upholtered chair was worn, discolored, and uncomfortable; the fake flower arrangement was filthy and showing its age. And the windows were covered with grime. I requested a room change but was told that this room is as good as they have. Bally's has become a one star hotel.

Nada, Niente, Ninguna

Rhe snotty checkin woman told me that I couldn't get my room until 4pm and I had already been traveling for 12 hours. Got a guy in the Diamond Club to give me a room. However because of that experience I didn't spend a dime at the Bally but did all my dining and drinking at the Bellago and Ceasers Palace which were close by. If you do not like standing in endless lines (Balley check in , the airport, etc then avoid Las Vegas.

Worst hotel on the strip

The only good thing about the hotel was the location, it is right opposite the Bellagio. The rooms weren't good, the hallways to the room were dirty and had a weird smell. Check-in counter had only two attendants even though they had about 8 counters. It took us an hour waiting in line to check in. The pool was closed for the season !! What season ? The casino was the smallest and gloomiest on the strip.

Good enough for a short stay

Overall experience was good, however I did find the casino to be excessively smoky and not an enjoyable place to gamble or spend time in. Excellent location on the strip, and very convenient parking facilities. Staff was very helpful.

Big name.Big dissapointment.

I was really dissapointed with this hotel. Ballys has a great reputation, but does not live up to it. The carperting is stained in the rooms and hallways, and the furniture was old and chipped. The bed spread and curtains seemed too dark, dingy and old. Walls are too thin,so you here all the noises coming from ajoining rooms. The windows are so filthy you can barely see through them(I'm not exaggerating, they are filthy). The pool was fantastic and a lot of fun, but you need a shuttle bus or golf cart to get to it. It was like walking to another hotel to take a swim. The casino and shops were good ,too. The only thing saving the hotel was the staff. They were all very friendly and helpful, but that wasn't enough to make it a special stay. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Ehh

I've stayed here before a few years ago, but I was with my mom who is a gambler. This time I came on my own with my sister and we were put in the south tower. Apparently only frequent gamblers get nice rooms. Our room was outdated and old... (I'm talking 1970's decor at best!) To the hotels credit, I asked for a view of Bellagio since this was my sisters first visit to Vegas and the front desk hooked us up with a room on the 20th floor with an AMAZING view of not only the Bellagio but the "Eiffel" tower. That kind of made up for the substandard room... kinda.

Very dis-satified

I have been to vegas many times and normally stay downtown, this trip was part of a group so we tried someting different. The escalaters and outside elevators were out of service the entire trip. They charge for room safe use and internet and local phone. This is all free downtown Ill never stay there again and the new bus service is a disaster.Could not find my reservation.
