Walking down the hall we could hear some noise from other guests but once in our rooms we heard nothing! This was a pleasant stay and the price was right.

Entertainment tip:
In Hotel
by now everyone else in the world probably knows how to use slot machines. If you don't (and I didn't until this stay!) ask one of the floor people to show you what to do! We signed up for the rewards program in the casino (free) which comes with a $3 preload on the card - you have to put your own money - maybe only $1- to activate the card and you can play penny or greater slots with it - here's what I learned: when you leave one machine to go to another make sure you cash out or the money stays in the machine for the next 'lucky' guest! It was fun while it lasted!

Short stay
We only used this hotel as a base to visit family. We needed a bed. It was fine for our purposes. It was close to where family lives and conditions were acceptable. The price was right!

average hotel off the strip
The fitness room is small and one of the two tredmills was not working. Old decore in rooms and it took a good 5-10 minutes for the water in the shower to get hot. Even though yuo have to pat a $14.99 resort fee you still have to pay to use the buisness center and print our boarding passes.

Not the same
We are from Canada and stayed at Sunset Station last year and liked it so much we went there again recently but we were disappointed as it just wasn't the same. The pool is the biggest attraction for us; last year it was heated, lots of people around; restaurant and bar service at the pool but that has all changed. The pool was freezing! They also used to have live entertainment nightly but that changed too..only Thurs- Sun. We went downstairs to take in the entertainment on a Thurs night at 11:50 and it was like a ghost town and it was all over and even the Fast food restaurants were closed! It was all dead!! I wonder if this is result of the economy?? Also they need to do away with that $14.95 night resort fee on top of the hotel rate as it is just too much! We never had a lap top computer with us and paid this for nothing!! You are better off to go to the Stratosphere on the Strip and get a much better bang for your buck with lots more things going on and the place is alive!!! We likely will not stay at Sunset Station again.
