Tired of the Strip
Great Hotel away From the Strip
We Loved this hotel. Me and my wife have been to Vegas several times and all the good deals on the Strip seem to be gross so we tried something further away. This hotel was awesome from the giant room to the great bathroom to the sand-bottom pool. We loved everything, just the $25 dollar resort fee seemed a little steep for what you got. All in all it was a great stay away from the Strip.

Skip The Green Valley Ranch
It was so poor that I tried to book another hotel less than 24 hours into our stay, but with a big fight in town, we were unable to move to another location until Sunday (Friday to Monday trip). Rather than explaining all that went wrong - just take my advice and stay at another hotel/casino.

Not worth it
Too many small things and one big thing make this hotel not worth it. Big thing - massive HORN blasting all night long. Scared the he!! out of me when I was in bed fast asleep. Yes. It's that loud and it occurs into the late night so if you are there to party you won't care. If your trip involves sleeping, you will be very unhappy. I was exhausted the entire next day from lack of sleep. Small things - 1. Nearest parking garage to hotel rooms still takes you through THE ENTIRE CASINO. Very inconvenient and quite a distance. 2. A pretty boring casino. I've stayed in many of them in Vegas. 3. No Starbucks in casino or hotel! 4. $22 added fee on top of reservation...beware.

Great hotel but price gouged
I liked everything except the price gouging. I was charged 20% gratuity without any notification on all my services (food, massage, etc.). The resort fee's are added on without any option to opt out. Had a terrible experience with a very rude waitress at the Pancake House.

Orbitz Fees
The hotel was terrific. I'm sure this won't get posted, but, I'm very dissappointed in Orbitz. They added extra fees and service charges when I checked out of the hotel. I'm sure they were listed on the site, but, I would have paid less by booking the trip by myself and calling Green Valley Ranch directly. I won't be using Orbitz in the future, very dissappointing.

Green Valley Ranch
If you are looking for a hotel off the strip with easy access to the freeway and close to the airport, Green Valley is a good choice. The resort is as well appointed as a 4-star strip hotel but the clientele tends to be more blue-collar, probably because of the great price. The location also has convenient dining and shopping at "The District" and the hotel has its own theater, but the movies are mostly "R" rated and not family friendly movies.

Not as good as it once was.
Have been staying at the hotel for the last 6 or 7 years when I take my X-mas holiday vacations. While the casino, nightlife, and dining are all things I really enjoy and have no issues with, the hotel is a different story. The room I had on my most recent trip had intermittent to no hot water in either the shower or bath sink. Once switched into a new room, the A/C in the new room would not cool down enough to my liking. (had never been an issue in any room the past) They also no longer supply the rooms with either the great bath robes or bottled water when they used to do a nightly turndown service. It was the little things like that which would keep me coming back. While I can understand with the economy the way it is, they have to cut costs somehwhere. I think a better place to cut costs for me would be to lower the overpriced ($24.99 a night) resort fee to something more realistic. I will have to rethink putting GVR at the top of my list of places to stay.

Was alright but could be better
A bit far from the strip but that was expected. Nothing to really eat if you're up late at the hotel except for a fatburger which gets old fast. Hotel was clean and service was adequate for what I paid. What I did not like was the resort fee that was taxable. It came out to somewhere like 28.24 per night instead of just a flat 25 fee. Internet was slow and I was forced to pay it because of the resort fee which includes internet. I might repeat but maybe not.

Good but pricey
The Green Valley Ranch is a nice place but it nickels and dimes you to death. There is a 24.99 per day resort charge which is supposed to pay for unlimited internet but when you log on it says you can get slow service free but if you want 10mps it is an additional 9.95 per day. If you want to use the busines center to print a boarding pass you pay by the minute.

Green Valley Ranch
Stayed at Green Valley Ranch because of proximity to wedding I was attending. Although Green Valley Ranch says they LOVE locals I was not given any comps or room upgrade despite my NV license. Overall nice place, but far too pricey. I think Aliante Station and Red Rock Station are nicer casino/hotels.
