Elko NV Travelodge

Stayed here during the annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering, at which dates most motels/hotels in Elko raise their rates considerably. The Travelodge price was very economical, lodging was clean, wireless was free, staff was very friendly and helpful. The person painting the stairwell insisted on carrying luggage up for me and would not take a tip for it. Cons: They have no elevator (I was on the 3rd floor), breakfast was pretty minimal, and the bed was too hard. But I would definitely stay here again!

A good place to land if you just need a shower, a TV show and some sleep. The carpet was really spotty though.

We had a restful night and continued on our trip the next day.

The room was somewhat small but clean and had the basic amenities. The staff was helpful and seemed to now the area. We stayed two nights and the price was right.

Checking in took FOR-EVER. They gave us a room on the third floor...and there are no elevators, so dragging all of our luggage up the stairs was not fun. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but when we opened the door, I was about knocked over by the smell of whatever they used to cover up the smoke smell. It seriously took my breath away. The room was very hot and stuffy, so we opened the window....there was no screen, and while we left for 20 minutes to go get some fast food, our room was invaded by all kinds of flying insects. The bed was alright, I guess. The best thing was the shower, but maybe by comparison to everything else. Breakfast was fine. I guess you get what you pay for, but we should have just slept in the car, or paid a little more to stay at Shilo Inn, where we usually stay.

This hotel was pretty much what we expected for a Travelodge. The room was clean and had a microwave and mini fridge in it, as well as free wifi. The breakfast was pretty standard (not a lot of tables to eat at, but hardly anybody was staying to eat anyway). The back hall ways were a bit dirty, but other than that, no complaints. We didn't hear any noise from the road.

Smelled like smoke in the hallway, but the room was clean and smoke free. Light breakfast was good, but no room in the breakfast nook for us to sit. We had to juggle cereal bowls and juice glasses for 4 children back to our room.

Everything was fine, except stairs to climb (no elevator) and no jacuzzi(as advertised)

We were traveling through town and wanted a place to sleep to break up the trip. We had pets with us and the hotel allowed for them. It was clean and comfortable.

So, your on the road for hours on end and you just want a safe, clean calm place to stay and this was it in Elko. Like Starbucks, you want just coffee and you know it'll be there and that's what the TL is. Staff great, room simple, bathroom clean and priced right. Liked the microwave in the room with coffee maker. I will not stay in places without a coffee maker. It's just my thing. I expected to see it the room and there it was for the morning. Close to gas and markets with easy freeway access.
