Cozy motel

The queen bed was quite comfortable and there is every amenity one would need. Ironing board, iron, coffee maker, fridge and a large tv to boot. One strange thing was that it was really hard to find a place to plug in the coffee maker, because there are so few outlets in the room that the cord could reach. Small extension cords are provided, but none of them are grounded, so it makes it hard to plug in grounded electronics and the coffee maker. We ended up putting the ironing board on the luggage stand in order to have a flat surface off the floor to brew coffee. Other than that, we had a great stay!

Clean and Adequate

We selected this location based upon other travelers review. This is a no frills motel. Room was clean and staff helpful. Very poor sound proofing and so it was noisy. Fortunately we did not have loud neighbors. The king size bed was comfortable, but without fitted sheets so the bottom sheet pulled out during the night. For a value oriented traveler the place was fine. Not a place to stay on vacation, but good if you are needing a place to sleep.

Never mind

At check-in we were told that the room was paid for, not "held" with a credit card. Not good, if it had been held, I would have canceled and went to another motel. Instead I felt trapped into staying here, instead of the accepting the hassle of crediting cards and such. The room had an unpleasant smell. I went to the window to open it and found several flies dead and alive. So we spent the first 15-30 minutes swatting a dozen flies with the phone book. I don't think we'll be staying here next trip. But the bed was clean and comfortable.

Did the job

When my wife and I rolled up it wasn't quite the inn we were expecting. I seems like Days Inns are usually a little nicer looking. TO be fair it is the end of winter so everything natuarraly looks a little run down. The staff was great. The lady that checked us in was very pleasant and good to deal with. The room was is decent shape. The sheet had a couple stains that were for sure stains, i figured an investment is some sheets woulg go a long way. There was also some ceiling tiles that could use some replacement, they just looked old and stained and didn't help the appeal of the room. The door didn't close all the way, it left a little crack, which allowed for a lot of noise and a slight draft that was occasionally felt. The heater worked very well and keep us GOOD and WARM compared to the outside temp. We also had shampoo missing in the tub, which i thought was standard. Other than these remarks, a godo room for the money. It was a good place to put the head down. I slept well and comfortably.

Days Inn Elko

I needed an inexpensive place to rest on business. It was quiet and comfortable, but there were few guests in January and no one in the rooms to eitehr side may have skewed the impression of quiet. Internet worked fine and room was warm. Manager was very pleasant and helpful.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Basque restaurant next door is lacking atmosphere, but makes OUTSTANDING lamb chops.
