Not what I expected
I was expecting the entrance to the rooms to be inside the building but it was overall acceptable for a short visit. There's nothing wrong with the place, but I really had high hopes going in.

Great Place to Stay
A large, very clean and pleasant room with a small refridgerator, microwave and coffee maker. Hotel's cafe was clean and served good food at a reasonable price. Small casino there also. Plenty of parking. I'll stay here again!

WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!
Food was great, room was very nice, and best of all my 80 yr old mom won $1600.00. Yeah!!!!! This was my birthday present to my mom, bringing her to Elko where she went 61 years ago for her wedding night. Thank you again!!! Deb :)

Should have stayed at Red Lion
slow service at check-in counter... then didn't even have postage stamps available. Rooms not cleaned until 4:00 in the afternoon... not many amenities in the hotel itself although the rooms were huge. Restaurant was nice, but was told there was a 20 minute wait... put my name in and played slots for 20 minutes... went back and was told it would be another 20 minutes.... they sat other people instead of calling us.

Very Nice.
The hotel room was overall nice. The room was clean, bathroom, bedding, and table tops. But, the carpet was very, very dirty, which I mentioned to the management. They mentioned that they had just shampooed the carpets 3 weeks ago. But I think they are not sweeping carpets once they are dry. I was disappointed, since everything else was so nice and clean.

Room was small, clean and quiet. Had a Large bathroom. Walking distance to food and casinos was nice. Would stay there again.

Clean and comfortable
I only stayed for one night but the room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. The hotel seemed well positioned, I never made use of the pool but it was busy with people so I assume it was nice.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Idaho St. waas being worked on and it was quite a mess to get in and out of the motel but the accomodations were great. The room was large, very clean, the beds were comfortable. Will stay there again if we get back to Elko.

Back again one week later
Things worked out well the first time, so on the way back from our trip we decided to stay there again. All was fine, even though there was a bit of confusion about the pet policy. The staff was flexible and accomodating. There's a pool, laundromat, and the a small casino -if you can tolerate the smoke. You also have to go through the smoky lounge to check in. That's the only drawback to this place.

Pizza Barn is about 1/4 mile away. Skip the big chains and and patronage the local, independent pizza place.

A good stay in Elko
Overall it was great. The room was smoke free, but going through the lobby/casino was not smoke free. But it's Nevada, so you have to expect less. The room was spacious and the shower very nice. They have WiFi, but don't advertise it. The restaurant isn't all that nice, but maybe I'm a picky eater.
