Don't Stay in Tucumcari!
Okay on 8/5/2009.
We stayed twice here. Once going to our destination and the other on our way back. The return stay didn't have what we experienced on the first. No fridge or microwave in room. Hallways smell of cigarette smoke and clerk was not very personable. I had to go to the Cicle K in town...the local riff-raff were all there...scary!

Traveling to California.
Decent hotel.
Decent hotel. Old but clean. Indoor pool (not heated) is decent also. Staff is friendly. No guest laundry facilities. Only real criticism: the wifi had issues cutting in and out later at night.

Golden Dragon Chinese is about a mile down the road. Doesn't look too fancy on the outside but great food and very clean. Perhaps the best (americanized) chinese food we've ever had. We really like authentic chinese, and this was the closest any chinese place has come to it. Definitely recommend it!

a bit expensive for what you get
the room was small and old. The towels they use were really cheap and scratchy. The whole place needed updating and little things fixed. We paid $60 for the night and it seemed a bit high. The town was horrible.

Eat before you get to Tucumcari...there's not much there unless you want fast food.

Good Value, nice accommodations
Check in was easy, clerk was right there. Room was nice, beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was varied and good. Received senior discount without asking.(must have been the white hair).

Pool was closed. Main reason for picking motel was for the Pool
