Not what we expected.
Elevator was broken. Had to carry luggage up to third floor. Very noisy air conditioning unit. Turned it off and opened the window. Expected that, due to the elevator issue, that we might have been given a special rate, but that didn't happen.

We went for a family reunion. Most of the family stayed at La Quinta. It was fairly clean. The ice machines and coke machines were out of order. The breakfast wasn't that good we ended up eating at Mc Donald's. They did have good cookies if you were lucky enough to get one. We got booked into a handicapped room and tried to get another room but couldn't. The staff was friendly just not accommodating.

best place in tucumcari to stay
good place to stay for a restful night and good breakfast. easy on and off freeway. had a late check in and every thing was ready.

Don't be fooled by the pictures
I stayed for 4 nights and I would NEVER stay here again. The hotel could be summed up as super cheap - from the thin walls, sub-par quality of the linens, poor room cleaning, to the fire alarm that went offa nd could not be shut off for 40 minutes because a manager had to come. The lobby looks nice, but don't be fooled, everything is cheap. At first glance, the room seemed nice, unfortunately, you could not even use the desk/chair because there was no room left between the bed/desk - making working from the room difficult. The only good thing about the place was the WiFi. I would go either to the Microtel or Holiday Inn Express that are a parking lot away.

La Quinta, Tucumcari, NM
The staff was excellent. They were friendly, helped us with directions and even had the complimentary breakfast out at 4 am!Indoor pool is nice and fitness room has new equipment. Room was very nice except the air conditioner kept going on and off and didnt keep the room as cool as I like it. Overall this was a very nice place and I will stay there again next year!

Fast food is close and gas stations are too. Easy access to the freeway as well.
