The Country Inn of Taos is very close to town and has gorgeous grounds with singing birds, prairie dogs and beautiful sunsets. The owner, will give you all the ideas you need to see the area, with maps included. Her breakfast was delicious, with
a juice and cereal bar followed up with a hot selection every day. I was in her junior suite, a two room suite with a full living room and separated bedroom and bath. The tile and fixtures are all color coordinated with the Southwest and are attractive and comfortable. There is a fire place for winter, which I am hoping to try out when I go back. The bed was heavenly. It is very quiet there. The town of Taos is a few minutes drive. She also has a freezer and fridge in the main house for any stored food items and cold drinks. I loved it there.
