Clean room, fast check-in
Clean room, right on the main strip in Socorro. However, a skunk visited outside my room around 4 am. The smell came through the air conditioner. There is nothing the hotel could do about wild animals. I just waited until he passed by. He hadn't sprayed, just his residual smell, but it was enough to wake me up. My advice.....get a room on the second floor.

Good value for short stay
I liked the layout of the room. There was a half wall separating the room's entrance and the closet and bathroom areas. Plus the bedroom wasn't immediately in the line of vision. This was a one night stayover, so it suited my purpose of getting a good night's rest following a long day of driving. The day was very hot. It took a long time to cool down the room.

somewhat disappointing
the room and hotel were nice enough. \unfortunately, I could have had a significant discount had i contacted the hotel directly. I was in town for fire fighter training and all the hotels offer discounts for firemen. [...] The hotel was clean and comfortable, however, An item of mine was removed by staff and there were no effective steps taken to get it back or compensate my loss. If you are going for fire training, call the hotel directly and get the discount. Dont leave valuables in your room unattended.

Definitely Worth the Price
For the cheap price I paid, I expected this hotel to represent its cheap price; however, I was totally wrong. The room was very nice and large for only 37.99!! It was spotless clean and was convenient for my baby girl because we were able to rock her to sleep on the rocking recliner in the room. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Socorro or just passing through for the night.
