Quiet, relaxing, great breakfast.
Professional conference attendee Nov 12, 2009
Room was quiet and clean. Fairly small but I didn't need more space. No desk was a drawback but I didn't ask for one either ... and I'm sure they would have accommodated me if a room with desk was available. I arrived early and they found a room for me before the published check in time. Overall a great hotel.

Great stay
Sarah Nov 8, 2009
This was a great hotel, it was within easy walking distance to the plaza. The staff were super friendly and very ... knowledgeable about the area. The free breakfast was also wonderful, more then just muffins. We had our choice of bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast. It was a great start to our day every morning. They also have fresh baked cookies every afternoon. They had a business center as well, so we were able to print our boarding passes prior to leaving. While the rooms were a little on the smaller side, they were very clean and well decorated. I would stay at this hotel again in a minute. I highly recommend

Loved it!
Jordini Oct 21, 2009
We spent so much time looking at various hotels, and I'm glad we ended up choosing this one. It's very close to the downtown ... area (1 block-ish), but yet this small distance makes it a peaceful and quiet retreat after the busyness of the downtown area. The rooms were clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Although the hotel seemed booked full, we never had any problems with noise or other visitors. The ONLY complaint is that they don't have a pool :( -- but the breakfast burrito bar is great and kind of makes up for that.

We travelled to Santa Fe to attend the Santa Fe opera. The hotel was less than 5 miles away from the opera and located in ... the historic district of Santa Fe. The breakfast is excellent and alone worth the stay. The one negative was the shower head and the hot water ran out.

Nice place - great Santa Fe style
Nate Aug 10, 2009
When I went to check in at 3pm, the room wasn't yet ready. The gentleman behind the desk told me to come back at 4pm. ... Apparently, he is practicing minimalist communication, as he didn't really want to greet me, talk more than he had to, or otherwise discuss my stay. When I returned to at 4pm to pick up my key, he simply handed it across the desk and went back to what he was doing. The room was GREAT! Extra amenities (robes, flat panel, private balcony) were unexpected. Great upgraded soaps, and great bedding/linens. Nice quiet location. Fantastic breakfast the next morning. However, when they say they're stopping breakfast at 930, they are serious! If you snooze, you loose! They had a great breakfast burrito bar, red and green chile, and the standard cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice and waffle machine. All nicely arranged, well stocked, and nicely kept up. Hot foods included tortillas, scrambled eggs, bacon, and hashed browns (well...cubed potatoes). All the hot foots were meant for breakfast burritos. The following day, the next staff person at the desk was much nicer, and he allowed me a late check out (extra hour), smiled, and was much more cordial. I'll definitely go back!! This place is only a two block walk from Water Street, three blocks to San Francisco. Loved the kiva fireplace in the room, too!

Pagosa Bound May 27, 2009
After a day of travel that began at 6 am, the 4 pm check in was late. We were allowed to keep our car in the parking lot in ... the interim, a good thing, Inn parking was at a premium. Desk staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast room experience in the morning was akin to a B&B. Charmingly colorful dining room,a variety of food options and friendly fellow travelers to greet and chat with. We had a lower floor room and the ceiling provided little soundproofing from the happy, busy feet above us. The room was small, the bathroom even more so. Really appreciated the decor, it was very tasteful southwest-antiquey and created the feeling you hope for in a hotel with "old" in its name. In that respect it reminded us of Riverside, CA's Mission Inn.

The Old Santa Fe Inn is a great place to stay for a trip to Santa Fe. The beds were extremely comfortable, the staff ... friendly, and it's located very close to the Plaza. The morning breakfast buffet was perfect and a great way to start our day. A small refrigerator and microwave was a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

You can walk to almost everywhere within 10 mins. Walking tours (daytime & ghost tour), New Mexcio local food cooking class are my recomendations.

Cafe Pasqual is a great restauarant. Not many tables, so get there early. You can get breakfast all day, and the trout is wonderful. The Shed on Palace Ave is a must if you like NM food. Great prices, a nice patio in good weather. We like the green chile better than the red.
