Relaxed simplicity at professional motel in the heart of Santa Fe
Despite the name and a 1930s double-level motor court layout, The Old Santa Fe Inn feels fresh, clean and up-to-date. The property promises an understated stay with the mature furnishings of a classy Santa Fe, New Mexico residence. A reasonable price and free perks, including a breakfast burrito bar, make it a good value in downtown. Explore cultural Santa Fe and return home to this warm, tastefully decorated Pueblo-style accommodation.

The Old Santa Fe Inn has 43 intimate rooms arranged in a two-story U-shape building that wraps around a courtyard parking lot. The simplicity of the property is reflected in stylish Southwestern rooms with New Mexico artisan wood carved furniture. Fabrics and rugs are artfully inspired by Museum of New Mexico collection textiles. 1930s-era woodblock prints adorn the walls. All rooms have small, Mexican-tiled bathrooms and Cuisinart coffee-makers. Some rooms have kiva fireplaces, balconies and Jacuzzi bathtubs. Microwaves and refrigerators can be requested. Good location

The location was walking distance to all the attractions in Santa Fe. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very nice and recommended some great places to see and good places to eat. I would recommend this hotel and we will stay there next visit to Santa Fe.

Wonderful location, great accommodations, lackluster staff

We much enjoyed our stay, and would perhaps return. The location and the accommodations were great (only the bed a little soft for our tastes). It's terrific to be close to town yet not in one of the noisier hotels right in the center. Our misgiving was the front desk staff, who were lackluster. No warm greetings whenever we appeared, sometimes the reception bordered on indifference. But the big issue of concern is that we purchased our rooms in advance, via Orbitz, and confirmed this arrangement upon check-in, only to be told, upon checking out (and with another staff member behind the desk) that we had not yet been charged for the room. I had to go to the car and dig up the Orbitz receipt and re-verify with them that I had, indeed, paid. This staff member was the most lackluster of the bunch, and was not the least bit apologetic for his error. I think we may try another place first before we return to this inn.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Go to Clafoutis for breakfast, but note that it is closed on Sundays. Get there early, for waiting until later will assure a long line.
