Absolutely Nothing
I wasn't looking for much but the room is barren and I certainly didn't expect to have drunks sleeping in the stair wells. There is no coffee maker, no microwave, no fridge, no hairdryer, no DRAWERS, and not even a do not disturb sign for the door, not that it would have kept the midnight drunkards away from the door looking for a place to crash (oddly not the same fellows in the stairway) . There isn't even art on the walls and the bedspreads are from the 50's. They don't clean your room either unless you ask them to. We also had to wiggle the cable wire often to keep the TV working. There was nothing on their booking site saying the pool wasn't open in May, yet another Motel 6 just 1/2 mile down the road had theirs open. The air conditioner in our room (and others) only worked with some tinkering. The hotel is located on a highway with a median so you have to do a lot of U turns to get anywhere. Don't be fooled, it's not that close to the downtown market area and you can't walk to any local attractions.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Tortilla Flats is a local restaurant across the street and it's very good and has a great happy hour with live music and hosts wine tasting events frequently. Also ate at the Cafe Castro down the street and it was just OK. Don't wait to eat, the whole area closes down at 9pm with the exception of Denny's.

interesting
Room was clean but questionable people walking around. Then at 10:00 pm someone bangs on our door and tries pushing it open. Two or three girls trying to get in. I asked what they wanted and they said sorry wrong room. My husband joked he was disappointed I was along. He could have had a good time.

modest motel centrally located
Modest motel, but inexpensive for Santa Fe. The rooms were smallish along with the TV. Could also hear upstairs guests. The Staff was friendly and the room was clean. The motel is located about halfway between the freeway and town center. Close are several restaraunts and a Wal-Mart. Even though I gave it 2 stars, the accomadations fit the price. Taken as a whole I would stay there again.

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Santa Fe has an unusual street layout. Many roads do not go through, are winding and simple straight line travel is often impossible (parks, schools, etc.). It is well worth the effort to have an exact route planned for you travel intown.

Motel 6 Santa Fe
Room was clean and cheerful. I had a seminar in Santa Fe. It was of Motel 6 quality. The floors looked new, very attractive to the room.

Never Again
The tiny pool was covered over during our entire stay, with no possibility of using it. There were burn marks from cigarettes on the fixtures in the bathroom and elsewhere. There was only one chair in the room. When we requested another, it took the person in the lobby nearly 1 1/2 hours to bring us a cheap metal folding chair. The cable connection was constantly going out in our room. HBO and several other channels never worked properly during our entire stay. The only positive things I can say are that there was hot water, the mattress was comfortable, and it was cheap. We would have gone elsewhere, but there were no other vacancies, except for expensive hotels. We left a day early and got a better motel room in Albuquerque. I'll never stay at this motel again, no matter what the price. For the cost of what we had to pay for breakfast every day, we could have stayed at a much nicer motel, with free breakfast included.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Cerrillos Road is only about ten minutes drive from any major location in Santa Fe (dining, museums, Canyon Road, the Plaza, shopping, etc.).
