Nestled amongst a secluded tree covered compound just 3 short blocks from Santa Fe's Historic Plaza, you will find a refuge like no other in our magical city. Las Palomas embodies the charm, elegance and ambiance which makes Santa Fe such a unique and special place. The historic casitas of Las Palomas built of traditional adobe bricks have been maintained to preserve the authentic feel of Santa Fe and have two distinct styles of Santa Fe architecture, "Territorial" from the Spanish Colonial culture and "Pueblo" from the Native American culture. As you stroll through our private gardens to your very own Casita you will enjoy the meandering brick pathways enhanced by gas lamps, beautiful aspens, and flowers. At every turn, you will find the sculptures and paintings of Native American Artist Doug Coffin adorning walls and courtyards. Enjoy relaxing in our Breakfast & Coffee bar which offers a deluxe continental breakfast each morning and serves espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, teas and hot chocolate throughout the day. For the more ambitious our exercise center features Matrix Fitness equipment for the complete workout. Las Palomas offers studio and one bedroom Casitas each decorated with custom leather and wood furnishings with their own style and flair of bold colors, local artwork and hand-woven rugs. All Casitas offer fireplaces, king beds, kitchens, robes, microwave ovens, coffee makers, hairdryers, irons & boards, high-speed internet and complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. Our one bedroom Casitas also offer a separate living room with queen size sleeper sofas. We look forward to hosting you as you relax and hide away in the secluded side of historic Santa Fe.

Our time at Las Palomas

We really enjoyed our stay at Las Palomas. We [...] wanted a pet friendly place near the Plaza at a reasonable rate. All ... three were met by this charming hotel. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast especially the blueberry waffles. I'd definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anybody (except those looking for the Ritz. This is a charming, comfortable place with nice amenities - not a super-luxe resort).

The best way i can describe this hotel is that it is meant for people not from the area. The rooms are very charming for ... someone looking for that "Santa Fe" feel. But if you are from here and just looking for a nice place to stay for the night then it may not be for you. First off the bed is directly in front of the door when you walk into the room, I don't know if that was just placement for this particular room or not but it didn't feel private. The kitchen is very nice. The tub is tiny! another thing is they advertise having fireplaces in the room but when my boyfriend opened the the box for the fire wood all he found was a few pieces of kindling. I'm not sure if we were supposed to bring our own or pay for it up front but the front desk didn't mention anything. the location is very nice, right by the DeVargas mall which is a fun place. it's nestled away on a little side street between the mall and downtown area. We didn't try the breakfast so i can't say anything about that. overall i'd give our stay 3 out of 5 stars.

the DeVargas mall is a hop, skip, jump away and offers a myriad of things to see. I personally recommend the Santa Fe Bar and Grill there. there's also a few shops/boutiques, an Albertson's and a movie theater located in the mall.

The room was really great and comfortable but, hot water in the shower was lacking, the hot tub looked like a murder took ... place in it. Very nice and cozy though, the location was just walking distance from all the shops, about a block away. The breakfast was good, fruit, milk cerial and pastry. very good. All in all it was pretty nice. Please fix hot tub!! We would stay again.

2 stars at a 4 star price
RR Sep 21, 2009
Las Palomas De Santa Fe is located about 2 blocks from downtown and is an easy walk. Parking is included which is a plus ... considering the additional charge at other hotels in the area. The breakfast is good, with a selection of breads, bagels, juices, coffee, lattes, tea, and cooked to order waffles and crepes. We selected a king bed room but when we arrived our room was configured with twin beds that were pushed together, not really the most comfortable. The room was stark, but did have access to a small courtyard. This is an expensive option when staying in Santa Fe even with parking and breakfast are included. Las Palomas De Santa Fe is not a 4 star accommodation and at $200+/night there are better deals. We traveled on short notice and our first choices were not available.

Fine, Convenient Location
AR Aug 10, 2009
At first we were surprised that the rooms did not seem modern but grew to really enjoy the adobe feel and the updating needed ... for the carpet and bathroom seemed very minor. We did not use the fitness area or the hot tub but found the location very convenient to the Plaza. Breakfast is served in the main adobe just across the street from our rooms. Overall a pleasant experience. We would return.

Charming hideaway
Benbo Jun 30, 2009
Las Polomas is in a wondeful location, tucked away on a side street only a few blocks from the Plaza. The small casistas are ... nestled in amongst lovely landscaping. The rooms are a little rough around the edges, but clean. Try not to get a room directly off the street, it can be a little disconcerting to hear passer-by conversation! Only complaint was that the smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night, and when I called the front desk there was no answer.

Wonderful hotel! We have stayed with las Palomas before, and always been very happy. When we checked in we found that we had ... been put at the sister property, the Hotel Santa Fe, which is usually much more expensive. The room was great, staff was attentive, and the hotel and grounds are beautiful. The restaurant and flute player by the fireplace were highlights of our stay. We highly recomend Las Palomas and Hotel Santa Fe!

Horrible
Stephanie Apr 22, 2009
We went to Santa Fe for a short stress respite and some well needed family time. When we arrived in Santa Fe we called the ... hotel to find out if we could check in. We were rudely told that we would have to come to the hotel for them to tell us this. I went to my room mid day with a bad head ache and listened to a tile drill for 6 hours right outside my room. We discovered upon trying to brush our teeth that the sink wouldn't drain. We walked downt to the office which is in another building and informed the staff about the sink and that our second room was freezing cold and the drywall behind the toilet was caved in. The lady at the desk called the manager, whom proceeded to ask her what entity the room booking came through (Orbitz) and how much we had paid for the room at that point I was told the building was old and we had to expect some of this and if I wanted to move they would find me another unit down the street but I would have to do this myself as the lady in the office was there by herself and didn't have time to help me. In the morning we woke to two inches of snow which caused the walkways to be solid ice. No one cleared them or salted or sanded walkways. I would never stay at this hotel again. The manager spoke to me in a patronizing manor and the staff treated us like we were a huge inconvenience.

We loved the location. Our Super Casita room was average; we saw other rooms that were truly beautiful. Ours smelled like ... cigarette smoke, which we did not like. It had a loose towel rack, leaky shower, and main room TV that only got a few channels. A crisis was avoided b/c the TV in the bedroom worked fine (my team was playing in March Madness).

We wanted to pay a reasonable price for a hotel near family members who live in Santa Fe, and this hotel did meet this ... criteria. It's also centrally located for anyone interested in exploring downtown Santa Fe. The breakfast was decent and the parking is free which is a big plus in Santa Fe. However, there were some drawbacks. 1. The free internet didn't work in our room. We weren't that far from the lobby, but we had to go to the lobby in order to be close enough to the router. We told the manager and he tried resetting the router, but it didn't correct the problem. For those of you thinking you can use your computer data card instead, don't count on it. Santa Fe's cell phone coverage is poor for many carriers. We have AT&T, and our cell phones and data card didn't work at the hotel. 2. The room was tolerably clean, but it seemed a little worn, and the bathroom was a little dirty in the corners. 3. The parking's free, but the lot is small and can be a little tricky when it's near capacity. Also, the lot was full when we were there, but I don't think the hotel was. I don't know where you'd park if you couldn't get into the lot. Overall, if a moderately decent hotel in a good location is sufficient, this might be an acceptable choice. However, if you want something a little special or luxurious, look elsewhere.
