Enveloped in warmth and luxury at famous Santa Fe chapel
Inn and Spa at Loretto is perhaps the most noteworthy example of Pueblo revival architecture of any Santa Fe hotel, and it is right next to an older and even more photographed landmark: the famous 1878 Loretto Chapel. Despite its large size, this hotel captures the grace and romance of Santa Fe in detail. Balconies are neatly stacked for optimal mountain views. The unbeatable city center location is steps to the historic plaza.
Highlights
  • Luxurious day spa
  • Three art galleries
  • Prime downtown location at Loretto Chapel
  • Pet-friendly (fees apply)

Every room has a recliner chair, flat-screen TV, personal oxygen tank, Wi-Fi and an elegant glass top desk.

Beautiful, historic..but pricey

This inn + spa is a beautiful structure in a beautiful part of Santa Fe. Easy walking distance to most things. Very expensive, though. We did not do the spa, so cannot comment on that. The air conditioning/fan in the room was extremely loud - kept me awake at night. Service ok. An experience, for sure...but to me, they could have had a few nicer touches considering the amt we paid.

Weekend getaway

Very helpful staff. Good room service. The restraint was very good with good wait staff. Spa services were good also. The location is central to historic and gallery areas. The room was clean but smallish. Elevators are small and older. A nice and cozy hotel and a fair value.

Watch For Extra Fees

This was a beautiful hotel to stay at. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. We booked our reservations on line and there was no mention of extra fees. Upon check in we were charged a daily valet/parking fee, and upon check out we were charged a daily service fee that we were told was for cleaning and internet charges. Very expensive when the extra fees are included

Great Location, walkable to everything

This hotel valet is expensive and there was always mix ups for people with cars, but the location was great, restaurant was amazing and staff in the restarant were friendly, we had our anniversary here and they were very accomodating and made it very special. Rooms are small and dark, balcony was small and always dusty or dirty so did not utilize. Hotel is very lovely all in all. Staff could be more friendly but concierge was great and knowledgable.

One of the best locations in Santa Fe

Stayed at the Inn at Loretto from 8.22 to 8,27,12. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff as they were all so helpful and genuinely nice. Location is about two blocks from the Plaza so very convenient to the shops and museums around the plaza. Rooms and common areas were decorated beautifully. Their restaurant Luminaria was wonderful and not too pricey. However, I wish I had been aware prior to my arrival that they needed to charge my credit card/debit card over $500.00 in case I charged anything to the room or used the mini-bar etc. I have no problem with their keeping a credit card/debit card on file and using it should I charge anything to the room, damage anything etc. However it can take awhile sometimes for the bank/CC Co. to process these refunds. I resent the fact that I must wait for the return of my funds when I never charged anything to the room or used the mini-bar etc. I would have much preferred to be aware of this policy prior to checking in. I spoke to the staff several times on the phone prior to checking in and was never informed. Perhaps this is standard in Santa Fe? I would recommend to others but make them aware of that policy.

expensive, but great place to stay in Santa Fe

The inn and spa are not just in the heart of the plaza... they are part of the plaza and are connected to the chapel which is a must see while you are there. Overall the room was a little small and amenities a bit lacking for the price.... even on a discount. The valet's were a bit clueless... had issues with them giving me the wrong key and wrong car on two different trips. Also the service at the resort's restaurant was horrible yet the setting for the restaurant is one of the best in the city. Might look into another hotel for next trip to Santa Fe although I would keep this one in mind. Beware though staying anywhere in the heart of the plaza you are surrounded by churches, chapels, and cathedrals. Church bells will go off starting at 7am. If you are a light sleeper stay outside the plaza.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

it's only a mile from the plaza but go to the tune-up cafe... food for every taste and meals are out of this world. it's a tiny hole in the wall... but worth the crowd and the wait. it was also one of our cheapest meals in town

Somewhat faded glory.

Cannot beat location relative to plaza. Reception and public rooms fine, but rooms though clean are dated. Bathrooms in particular are small and have little counter space. Closet space is inadequate for anything more than an overnight stay. There is no place except bathroom door to hang a folding garment bag and aukward interference between bathroom and closet doors. Also, excessive noise every time heating system came on. Dining room staff and meal preparation very good - the highlight of our stay. Desk and parking attendants no better than average. Card entry to room repeatedly failed. Overall we expected more for the price.
