Excellent stay

My stay at Hotel Santa Fe could not have been much better. I was there to attend a photography portfolio review that was held in the conference room in the hotel. This meant I virtually never left the hotel except for a few walking excursions. The room, although supposedly one of the smaller ones offered, was plenty big enough. It was very clean and included a small balcony for one, which was nice to use for having coffee in the mornings before the meetings. I never much enjoy those in-room coffee pots, so was quite pleased to find fresh coffee offered in the elevator lobby on my floor every morning. I just had to put on the comfy provided spa robe and walk down the hall. Very nice. My room was situated well back from the road, so was very quiet. I know other rooms around me were occupied, but I rarely heard anything. I had breakfast there a couple of mornings, and while pretty good, was a bit pricy for what you got. The continental breakfast was $11. One morning I had the hash fries, which came out cold. Not good. Location of the hotel is excellent. I though it might seem like a long walk to the main square, but it took just 15-20 minutes to get there. The shuttle is always available upon request if you don't want to walk. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the train station is very close with shopping and food available. All in all a very good experience.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

The hotel has shuttle service to the square. Two of these shuttles are small cars with jump seats so that it will seat 5. The cars are very difficult to get in and out of if you are not very nimble.

Nice but overpriced.

The facility was very nice but room was quite small. Location is great, easy walk to downtown. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nice hotel, but priced a little high.

Close, Comfortable & Unique

This was our first time in Santa Fe, NM. The hotel was very nice, clean and beautifully decorated with a southwest feel. The regular rooms are a little cramped, but the suites are fantastic - roomy, open and bright. The hotel is in walking distance to the plaza, farmers market and most museums and galleries. We had breakfast in the on site restaurant and it was very good. There is no breakfast of any kind included in your stay. There are no coffee pots in the rooms either - you must walk to the end of the hall by the elevator to get your coffee/hot water. The pool and hot tub is very nice and they maintain it very well. Clean, well lit and filled with extra towels. The hotel also charges a $18/night fee for some amenities like: internet, pool access, shuttle service and local calls.
