Winter Brewfest in Santa Fe

Stayed at Hotel Santa Fe which is only a few steps from the Santa Fe Railyard which held the Winter Brewfest. We have stayed at the hotel several times and always find it friendly and enjoyable. We especially like the Hotel London cabs (shuttle service) for getting around Santa Fe when we are too tired walk back or the weather is bad.

Walking Distance to Downtown Santa Fe

Nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and polite. Parking was tight and crowded. Shuttle was nice to have, but for the most part, we were able to walk to where we wanted to go. Hotel is centrally located.

Great location and value

We stayed 4 nights Monday through Friday in mid-November. From the outside this hotel is very attractive, decorated for the season with a nice outdoor pool and hit tub. The location is fantastic -very close to the Plaza but a few blocks away from all the congestion. A very nice grocery store w organic foods is close and across the street a bakery and coffee shop that we wanted to visit every morning. Inside the hotel is warm and cozy with a fireplace and small bar, restaurant. Our room with a king size bed was very clean and comfortable though not overly spacious -we made it work. For the value I would stay here again. Very comfortable without being stuffy, nice staff.

Romantic and Relaxing

This place was my choice for a base of operations for a couples vacation at which I proposed to my fiance. Great eats all around and historical sites nearby. Ate off the hotel pub menu once, and it was great, with good local beer on tap. Breakfast buffet and dinner menu looked good too, but we went exploring instead for adventure and to save a little money. The rooms were fairly modest in size and had dry air. This is true of any hotel though, and going from Wisconsin to mountainous southwest this dryness was to be expected. Our room had a few repairs needed--bathroom lights out/dim, and a few little maintenance things (elec. outlet cover?) that I can't remember. Cable TV was basic, but in retrospect would have been better to not have the tempting distraction since in reality there are much better things to do. Overall, clean and comfortable. High-end compared to what I'm used to, but I still felt the value was there given we stayed five nights which gave a cheaper nightly rate. Fireplace in lobby gave great ambiance. Small workout room in the spa building was decent, though confusing to find with the sign blending in decoratively. Spa massages were pricey, so we didn't try any of those. Shuttle service was quite good, and got a few good local tips from one of our drivers. I would stay here again or stay at a nearby hotel/motel that was a bit cheaper to take more advantage of local eats and attractions.

One night stay

Stopped for a night on our way to Roswell New Mexico. Hotel was nice and clean. Spent a couple hours downtown the next morning, walked around and had lunch. Santa Fe is beautiful and I would definitely recommend visiting.

Excellent stay

My stay at Hotel Santa Fe could not have been much better. I was there to attend a photography portfolio review that was held in the conference room in the hotel. This meant I virtually never left the hotel except for a few walking excursions. The room, although supposedly one of the smaller ones offered, was plenty big enough. It was very clean and included a small balcony for one, which was nice to use for having coffee in the mornings before the meetings. I never much enjoy those in-room coffee pots, so was quite pleased to find fresh coffee offered in the elevator lobby on my floor every morning. I just had to put on the comfy provided spa robe and walk down the hall. Very nice. My room was situated well back from the road, so was very quiet. I know other rooms around me were occupied, but I rarely heard anything. I had breakfast there a couple of mornings, and while pretty good, was a bit pricy for what you got. The continental breakfast was $11. One morning I had the hash fries, which came out cold. Not good. Location of the hotel is excellent. I though it might seem like a long walk to the main square, but it took just 15-20 minutes to get there. The shuttle is always available upon request if you don't want to walk. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the train station is very close with shopping and food available. All in all a very good experience.
