Quick Santa Fe Trip

Smallish room but comfortable bed. Centrally located. Lobby bar area is cozy, with a rustic lodge-like feel. Beautiful exterior lighting at night. Dinner at restaurant was nothing special, supposed to be native american inspired but dishes generally lacked flavor intensity. However the three course prix fixe is a nice idea and could be a good value depending upon your choices.

For the price, not worth it. Lots of hidden charges.

My boyfriend booked this hotel as a surprise for my birthday, and first trip to Santa Fe. He later told me that he'd picked it out of all the rest because of the great reviews he'd read on here, so after such a lackluster and very disappointing stay, I think it's only fair I leave a review as well. My first problem with this hotel started before i'd even checked in, when me and my boyfriend got to the front desk and were ignored for a good while before finally the lady behind the desk deigned to look at us. She wasn't very friendly, bordering on rude even, and handed us off to someone else as soon as she could. I wish I could say this was the only time we encountered rude staff, but it went on throughout our whole stay, which wasn't even that long, just one day, since we decided we weren't going to spend another $400 for this. My second biggest problem was the room. Super nice decor, if a bit boring, very spacious bathroom, but insanely thin walls! I could hear the kids in the next room watching the movie Aladdin! For what was supposed to be a romantic getaway, this was not what we had in mind. It wouldn't have been so bad except for the fact that my boyfriend spent so long agonizing over the decision of which hotel to pick, and he felt horrible for picking this one. If snotty and almost rude staff don't bother you or super thin walls for the price tag, the location IS very good, and i've heard the spa is excellent. *Also! Be aware that there are a LOT of hidden charges that ended up totaling to more than $50 in some cases, like shuttle service and such, even if you DON'T use it. Also something called a "contribution to city" fee, which is also ridiculous.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Cafe Cafe, a lovely intimate restaurant just around the corner from this hotel, the food is amazing, the waitstaff are incredibly nice and polite, attentive and not overbearing. Plus the menu has something for everyone, italian food yes, but varied, with cheesy pizza for anyone picky :) The price isn't steep either.

Last minute ski vacation

It has been years since I was last in Sante Fe, but when my schedule opened up I decided to take my family on a quick ski trip. We enjoyed our visit at this hotel, very close to the plaza for some shopping and local "flavor" of the unique Blue Corn Mexican food. The Sante Fe ski area was just a short drive away with the entrance to the National Forest just moments from the hotel. The rooms were pleasant and clean, the staff was open and friendly without being intrusive. The night we arrived, my son and I went to the fitness center for a quick run and workout after being in the car for several hours. We were not keeping track of the time and our workout went past the gym's closing. The staff was not rude or pushy, the just quietly waited until we were done

Very enjoyable stay at this hotel

My wife and I really liked the location of this hotel and we liked the patio and the pool area. The fact that they provided free shuttle service to town and back is a great plus.We didn't have to use our rental car to go anywhere in town.Breakfast and lunch were very good, but dinner was a little disapointing. We will be back in the near future.

Great for Leisure, Less for Business

Lovely hotel. Comfortable, attractive, convenient location. Excellent dining. Nice fitness room. Only shortcoming is that at least our room wasn't arranged ideally for business needs. No accessible electrical outlet by the desk, work lighting not great. But lovely for leisure/vacation.
