This menu originates from recipes enjoyed by New Mexican families for hundreds of years. Families in Chimayo contributed to this authentic menu with their own family recipes handed down from generations. For other select items, Chef Estevan provides a modern twist on the traditional. Tia's Cocina is honored to serve authentic heirloom Chimayo chile known for it's robust flavor grown in Chimayo, New Mexico and exclusively for Tia's Cocina.

Great, Inexpensive place in the heart of downtown.

The hotel is conveniently located, the room is clean and large, it's not the newest or fanciest but it more than gets the job done, especially at its price point.

Hotel Chimayo in December

Staff was friendly ,helpful and made our stay feel very special. From check in, to help with luggage, to restaurant staff, to bartender - everyone went above and beyond our expectations. They even lit the fire in our fire place to add to the ambiance.

The Peyton Wright Gallery and Imagination (?) Gallery featuring the works of Vladimir Kush were our two favorite places. Both surprised and delighted us.

Santa Fe - where I always wanted to stop!

Wonderfully located in the center of town. The hotel itself is in the tradition of the Sourhwest. The room was very 'different' - not bad in any way, just different. The underground garage is an added plus. I would come back, though the town at night is deserted.

Charming Hotel

This was our first time in Santa Fe. We booked this reasonably priced hotel based on location and reviews. We were not disappointed. Within walking distance of everything. Very comfortable leather couch. The bed was excellent. The tv was not aligned with the bed, and was an older model with some channels snowy.

Nice place, great location

I enjoyed my one night here and especially liked the inner courtyard. My room was big, and suite-like which I wasn't expecting, so I had a living room and a bedroom. The place does have a "historic" feel so it is definitely more of an authentic, "old-school" type stay versus a luxury stay. I stayed in another hotel of similar quality and it was my impression that most of the places in Santa Fe are of similar quality so I would stay here again. Their TVs are quite old, not flatscreen, but I don't care about that; maybe you do. Check-in was pretty slow and the staff could be a bit more responsive, but not a big issue on this stay.

No AC and desk lied about it

Cute hotel. Needs some tender love. Great location. We couldn't get the AC to work. The front desk told us it was turned off (current temp was high 70s) because it was to snow in two days. Room was hot and loud all night due to open windows.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed in a Junior Suite. It was the perfect size for our weekend getaway. We knew there was a fireplace, but didn't realize it was wood-burning. This was perfect for us. You have to call ahead and have the receptionist send the the "fire guy". He came within 10 minutes and built the fire for you and left extra logs so we could keep it going. Every member of the staff we encounter was very friendly, welcoming, and seemed to genuinely care about how our stay was going.

great stay

Located just off the plaza, this hotel is in a perfect location. Very comfortable bedding, sitting area, cozy room. Underground parking is extra, but it's the santa fe plaza, so parking is difficult to find.
