Serene and quiet location right off the main road, centrally located to all attractions. This non-smoking lodge is located between two premier golf courses with fishing and golfing next door. Hiking is available at the national forest across the street. There is a park on the premises with 100 foot pines, picnic tables, gas/charcoal grills, balconies and porches. We offer a gazebo with a large hot tub on the premises and there is a heated pool off premises. Our suites have fully stocked and equipped kitchens, full baths, wood burning fireplaces in living rooms, two telephones and two satellite televisions with multiple movie channels. Our luxurious suites offer the comforts of home, all for the price of a normal hotel room. Groups and extended stays are welcome. We are pet friendly and have central air and heat, fax service and high speed Internet access. We are a AAA, 3 diamond, rated property.

It's a Lodge, not a Hotel

If you can't climb three flights of stairs, make sure you request a ground floor room. The pathway to the room was unkempt. The parking was lighted convenient, just off a major street. When we arrived there was a notice for in-room massages. Would have liked that since we had just driven a long way. Placed the call but no one called back. It was great that the hotel had a list of restaurants. Ruidoso could sure use more breakfast restaurants. A must see is a visit to the Inn of The Mountain Gods Hotel Casino and Resort! Breathtaking!

Inn of The Mountain Gods Resort Hotel and Casino. Either stay there, dine there, or sip on a martini was gazing at the prestige golf course, clear lake, and smoky mountain backdrop thru the resorts massively spectacular windows, or ponder out on the deck!

Peaceful and Relaxing

This was a quaint place and the quietest we have ever stayed. Never heard a car start or people talking from the room. It was rustic in atmosphere. I was surpised to find a full service kitchen with most of the necessities for cooking. My only negative comment would be the light that came in through the bedroom window all night. It simply needed heavier drapes or a blackout shade. We arrived late (after the office closed) and they were very understanding and helpful.

Scope out the dining ahead of time. There was one small place on the way out of town I think it was called the Patriot Cafe. Wonderful breakfast, resonable prices. The Pasta Cafe, in town, looked good, had a nice wine but was out of one menu item and the calamari steaks were seriously lacking.

Great getaway

This was a quaint, modern, well-kept facility that was certainly priced fairly. It was the ideal size for two adults and the bedroom had its own sink and vanity, and a very comfortable and nicely decorated king-sized bed. The room even had two TV's with a complete array of satellite channels. The fully functional and stocked kitchen was very useful and a nearby grocery store allowed us to eat in. It was the wrong season to use the fireplace, but it looked to be a wonderful amenity to the living area. The bathroom was clean and well stocked; the only drawback was that the tub is a little small! Otherwise it was great. The suite offered lots of closet and storage space, a welcome convenience. The property is situated only minutes from all of Ruidoso's eating and entertainment facilities, many within a few blocks. There's even a national forest across the street!

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

A myriad of shopping and eating establishments are just a very short drive away. If we were younger we could have walked!
