King Room w/ baby
We stopped to stay in Roswell on our way from Central Texas to Colorado. The Hampton Inn is on the edge of town heading out of Roswell. Our room was very large and clean. Traveling with a one year old, I felt safe here. The restaurant next door was pretty good. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect. Shops and downtown was mediocre, but all of the alien decor across town was fun. An overall good spot to stay on a roadtrip!

Chasing Aliens in Roswell
We attended the Alien Festival and Alien Chase 5k. We had a blast! It felt good to swim in the pool each evening because weather was extremely hot. The refrigerator and microwave were very convenient to have in the room. We took advantage of the free breakfast as well!

Probably best place to stay in Roswell
The hotel was exceptional in all respects other than the price. The rate seemed excessive for a town that is not a resort city and was not competitive with other superior motels in area. This can work when there is a festival in town but may hurt the customer base at other times, especially when there is an economic downturn. I'd take another look at the rate structure. The only other thing worth mentioning is the volume of band noise coming from the restaurant next door on weekends. Music doesn't have to be played at 110 decibels to be enjoyed. Does the restaurant management even know or care that they are interfering with the rest of the guests at the hotel next door?

The Hotel might consider supporting an American food facility competing with the existing restaurant next door.

Clean and friendly
Not only was this our first visit to this hotel it was also our first visit to Roswell. It was a pleasant surprise. It was very clean and if we needed extra towels, etc. it was there within 5 minutes with a smile. Pool was clean and the morning breakfast was kept up constantly and kept very clean. We would definitely stay there again.

Short drive from hotel
There were plenty of restaurants in the area plus a Super Wal-Mart across the street. We went to visit our son at school which was a little further from our hotel than others, but worth the drive.
