The city of Las Cruces also offers a wonderful variety of attractions that are all within a mile or two of the Ramada Palms hotel. Our guests enjoy exploring Historic Old Mesilla for a taste and feel of Old Mexico, and it is conveniently located just two miles from the hotel. Area museums such as the Historical Lawmen Museum or the Space Mural Museum, monuments like the Bataan Death March Monument, the Farmers and Crafts Market, and more are all within reach. If golf is your passion, we have 4 courses that are no further than 8 miles distant.
Yet, the best reason to enjoy a stay at the Ramada Palms de Las Cruces, is the hotel itself. As you enter our lobby for the first time, you realize that you have entered a city unto itself. Southwestern ambience is all around you as you discover the lush interior courtyard with separate pools for adults and small children, the wonderful Sabor Restaurant and Bar which features Mexican and Amercan favorites & complimentary continental breakfast for all guests, the variety of shops on our promenade, and The BAR, you realize that an entire village has opened up before your eyes.
Our promenade includes Michael's Ace Hair Studio - a full service salon for nails and hair with a masseuse and Esthetician available, as well. Near Michael's are the wonderfully exotic gifts featured at Artemis Decorative Arts. Lucas Pipe and Tobacco newsstand has one of the areas most complete and finest humidors, and Las Cruces Shuttle Service will get you where you need to be. Turn left around the corner from the promena

Will never stay there again!
I had lived in Las Cruces for 3 years and never really stayed at any of the hotels but always loved the exterior look of the Ramada. As I would be staying for 4 nights, I was a bit hesitant but because I have stayed at other Ramada Hotels I felt I would have a pleasant stay. I was so wrong. The hotel interior was nice since it had a nice bar/restaurant and some little small stores to look at with music playing in the background plus a lovely structure but that's where the niceties end. Unfortunately I arrived too early and was given a room I was not happy with so I was told to wait for almost 3 hours. The reception guy seemed uncaring and annoyed by my questions and giving him more work to do. When they finally gave me my room, I found the hallways to my room were showing their wear with old carpet and worst lighting. The room itself seemed stuck in the past with stained carpets, old looking bathroom, old bulky tv and old beddings. I was also surprised not to have a microwave w/refrigerator since I was staying so long. I also had the misfortune of getting a clogged bath drain which I didn't complain until a day later because I was so busy with my visit. When I did tell them I saw them write a note down to work on it but it could not be completed cause it was sunday. So the next day I went again and this time was given the cold shoulder by another male receptionist who was annoyed by my request and then asked me if i wished to change my room. After the men working in the bathroom made a mess I reluctantly said yes and was give a room I just didn't like so I asked for a new one and I guess I annoyed him further he obliged 2 hours later sending me with a Head Maid to make sure I was happy with it. Of course I wasn't but what could I do when the hotel itself was horrible. On another note: I have stayed in wonderful hotels that offer breakfast but this place was truly lacking. No bagels, no do it yourself waffles. Just cereal, some gross eggs, some muffins, and bread slices. BTW I have never been asked for my ROOM NO. as I went to get my breakfast and having some woman hovering over me to make sure I hurry up so she can clean up. Finally no daily coffee or water for guests or even toiletries, this place truly sucked. I will never go there again. Be warned!

First Stop on our Southwest Motorcycle T
We are returning visitors to the Ramada Palms de Las Cruces. We enjoy staying in The Palms because of the atmosphere in the hotel. Las Cruces is the first stop on a two state/four day motorcycle tour my wife and I are making this week. This stay was a little pricey considering we were on the second floor and the Palms has no elavator. I would recommend with caution.

Classic Facility, With Some Flaws
My wife and I stayed here on the next-to-last night of our honeymoon trip through New Mexico and Arizona. The hotel is a beautiful older facility, offering both exterior rooms and interior rooms opening into a Mexican-styled indoor courtyard with a lounge and restaurant at one end and a pool at the other. Our room was a recently-updated upstairs courtyard room. The rooms are well-insulated, but you could still hear the goings-on in the courtyard area. The climate control system was very loud, and could not be set below 69 degrees, so as not to freeze it up. The pool area noise continued until around 10:00 PM or so, well past the quiet hour of 9:00. It was annoying, but the TV masked it adequately. It would have been worse for early risers, though. The complimentary breakfast was decent, with the usual pastries and cereals, and did include sliced melon, but no meat of any kind. It was kept refilled and the breakfast area was clean. Some time during the night the boilers went out, and we weren't able to take hot showers until about 8:30. We had to call down to the desk to find out, as the staff did not alert the guests of this. The good: Beautiful, clean, well-appointed facility. Decent breakfast, easy and professional check-in and check-out. Hotel staff was very pleasant and apologetic for the problems we encountered. The bad: Late-hour courtyard noise, noisy older climate control system, no notice of problems that could delay travelers. Would we stay here again? I would give them another chance. My wife, however would not.

La Posta de Mesilla restaurant off the La Mesilla plaza is a Las Cruces-area institution, with excellent service and large portions of well-prepared New Mexican specialties.

Palms
Hotel is off the interstate. The lobby, lounge, and eating areas are very nice. Had to drive a mile or less if you wanted other resturants but fast food was nearby. Room is nice but could use some updating. It had no refrigerator or microwave. The tub needed a non- skid mat ot strips and the shower curtain could not maintain the water spray from the shower head. I had to clean up water everytime I took a shower. The staff members I contacted were friendly. Overall it was a nice hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.

Good for the price
Very pretty hotel. The room was nice and comfortable. I stay in Las Cruces frequently and have been in a lot of the hotels. This one is the best value. My only complaint was being told there were no amenities when I called the front desk to get a shaving razor. Their hotel directory clearly stated they would provide these.

Unbeatable location for the price
Our stay was great. Our youngest son and our grandchildren loved the pool. The breakfast that is offered is one of the best I have had at a hotel. The staff was very helpful. The evening manager tried to help me figure out why my laptop would not log on. It was a simple mistake that I had done. Very nice gentelman

BEWARE the BED BUGS !!!!
A friend and I were visiting a high school friend in town and after weeks of shopping for a good place to stay in the area, we picked this place. We had no intentions on changing our plans so we booked "non-refundable" so we could shave $100 off the total 5-night price. WHAT A MISTAKE! After the 1st night, my friend got some bites but nothing too serious. We brushed it off on bugs from the day before. On day 3 (after our 2nd night of sleep), we let housekeeping in to make our beds and clean up. We woke up the next day and my friend was peppered with Beg Bug bites. (Having experienced this nightmare 3 yrs ago, I am quite familiar with them). I also had multiple bites on my fingers and forearm and I had NOT been outside or exposed to other insects. We immediately complained the the hotel staff (Front Desk woman named [...]). I refused to accept another room as if they are in my room (Rm#122, btw) they had to be in the whole place. I know how bed begs are - they're like the plague. She checked us out 2 days early and when I asked about a partial refund due to the unsafe sanitary conditions, she informed me that I'd have to talk to [...] as my room was "pre-paid". [...] is telling me to talk to the hotel. The hotel is saying to talk to [...]. Now I've lost 2 days from my vacation/visiting time, had to book a new flight home (couldn't reschedule or cancel my oringal flight) and I'm out the hotel money and my emergency flight home. DO NOT SAY AT THIS HOTEL. Found out after the fact that they were featured on the local CH 7 news for Bed Bug infestation but apparently New Mexico doesn't have a health department that covers such issues. Stay at this place only if you like being vampirized by microscopic ticks in your sleep. Me? Not so much. Consider yourself warned.
