The hotel offers Ruby Tuesday's to be delivered, which is great if you are too tired to go out.

Its only a room, a bed, a place to rest

From the time I entered the hotel thru to my room the hotel had a heavy scent of disinfectant. I opened my rooms window as soon as I entered it, & it took a couple of hours to air out. After that it was not a bad stay. The bed was acceptable in confort, & the room looked clean & neat, there wasn't intstructions on how to access the internet. The hotel in in a good part of town and a safe place to stay and leave your car made it a overall a acceptable place to stay.

Happily Shocked

This motel was my last choice, but the only one available b/c all other hotels were taken due to the Bataan Death March at the military base. I expected a run down, dirty, old as the hills, stinky, noisy, doors on the outside, motel. Instead, it was the opposite! We were blown away for the simple reason that our expectations were so increadibly low! The beds were spotless & w/o cigarette burns, mattrasses super comfy, the carpet clean & without stains, the towels moderately fluffy, the tp was soft! Just bring shampoo & conditioner, and a hairdryer. Oh, and the other pool guests might be a rough croud...but thats not Motel 6's fault!

spotless room, convenient/safe location

Visiting family, and always recommend it for price, cleanliness, and location. One brother changed hotels after I assured him that Motel 6 had free wifi. I picked up a hot pot and instant coffee, and used my cell phone as an alarm clock. Several restaurant options, including IHOP and Starbucks. Sams Club is to the right, and Target is a few miles to the left. Walking and running trail near the hotel, under beautiful blue New Mexico skies. Antique and vintage stores on Picacho. City of Rocks is one hour west, towards Deming. White Sands is east, and worth the drive.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

International, a local favorite, serves middle eastern and greek foods. El comedor, one of many wonderful Mexican/New Mexican restaurants, is near Mesilla. Mesilla is the historic area, and well worth the short drive. Continue south to see the Stahmann pecan groves.

great value

My second stay, only this was for a family emergency (and, i slept late, undisturbed). My only recommendation: buy a hotpot for morning coffee. I like the convenience of coffee in my room, and they do not provide a coffee maker. Clean and quiet, a convenient drive to Starbucks for a late night snack, plus a couple of chain restaurants with late night menus. Target and a grocery store within a couple of miles in the opposite direction.

Good Location

I really like it, except for the pool they had too many children in there without supervision and there was water all over the floor in front of our door. That is the only thing that I did not like, everything else was excellent.
