We selected the Days Inn Grants for a night over during a cross country car trip specifically because the Days Inn website said it had an in-door hot tub. After checking in, we were informed they did not have the advertised pool or hot tub, but if
we liked we could walk across the street (in the freezing temp) and use the hot tub at the Quality Inn.
I asked if they could transfer us to the hotel with the amenities they advertised, they said no. I asked if they could discount our stay because the offering we (pre-)paid for were not as advertised, the clerk said she was was not authorized to do so, but invited us to talk to the sales director on Monday to discuss it (this was Friday).
The clerk did call the sales director after I suggested it. Her answer: we could check out, look for another hotel on our own (during a post-holiday weekend) and call her on Monday to ask if we could have a refund on the room we hadn't even stepped foot in yet. So I was left completely disappointed and feeling very sorry for the poor clerk who was completely thrown under the bus by her incompetent sales director.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Stay across the street at the Quality Inn. Evidently, that is where the Days Inn pool and hot tub are located.
