Perfect getaway
Oh my goodness. What an amazing vacation. This hotel is tucked well off the beaten path which makes it very peaceful. Every staff member we encountered throughout our stay welcomed us and asked if there were anything they could do to make our stay better. Great walking trails, good food. Just an overall awesome experience. Would definitely recommend it.

beautiful Resort!
Loved everything about this resort...plenty of activities offered such as traditional bread making, stories and smores, guided nature walks, horse back riding, traditional native american dancing etc etc etc! Staff at the resort were amazingly helpful and friendly. Food was awesome. I loved the fact that we werent in crowded cramped hotel building. The resort grounds were lovely. 3 pools, 3 restaurants, whirlpool, waling and biking trails, awesome views of the mountains! I would return in a heart beat! So glad we chose this place!

Albuquerque is about 20 miles away. Ride up on the tram ($20 round trip). At the top take a hike to the Kiwanis Cabin. The hike is awesome (1.5 miles to the cabin; 3 miles round trip).

LOVED IT....LOVED IT.
We enjoyed the great Golf facilities. The customer service is impeccable. We were made to feel like we had the whole resort staff just to meet our needs, from needing a band-aid to where is the best Mexican food, (which is the Tamaya restaurant)

Relaxing Getaway
Check in went smoothly. [...] at the front desk offered us a free upgrade to a mountain view room because it was our first time at the resort. Gorgeous view of the Sandia Mountains right from our balcony. We enjoyed the spa under the stars, sauna and steam room. The next morning we took the walking trail down to the Rio Grande. The path is on a preserve so guests should beware of local wildlife such as the occasional rattler or coyote. We didn't see anything and our short hike was beautiful. Slept like a baby on the specially-made mattresses which were super soft. We will definitely be coming back here. Sad to leave the Tamaya!

Don't miss the walking trail down to the Rio Grande. Just outside the doors on the mountain side of the resort is a preserve with paths. You may even catch a glimpse of some local wildlife. Coyotes, jack rabbits and other creatures are known to inhabit the land surrounding Tamaya. Very cool.

One of my favorite hotels
We've stayed at Hyatt Tamaya several times and it is always great. It's so peaceful there. From the fabulous drive into the property to the kiva fireplaces out on the patio, it's always great. I love the flute music that is playing throughout the common areas.
