comfortable room

the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in. The room was very clean and even had a bowl with toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, shaving cream and a shaver. The hotel was very dated and in a part of town that I was not comfortable being in. They even had us park behind a locked gate for "protection." The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was very good.

o.k. if you are on budget

Staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast was good and convenient. Parking was good as long as you got a spot inside the gated lot which gets filled from time to time, otherwise you had to park on street which had restricted times. Walking distance from Old Town. I did not really care for the vicinity where it was located. I wished the room had a table. Courtesy Shuttles was a great option and convenient.

not so hot

The hotel is right downtown, not a great location, but was convenient for me. It could use a complete re-do; everything from paint to carpet looks old and faded. The room was unattractive. The bed was fine, but certainly no pillow-top mattress! The really lousy part was that there was water on the floor of the bathroom when I arrived -- turned out the base of the toilet was slowly leaking. This was during balloon festival week and I knew there would be no other place to stay, so I kept a towel on the floor and just put up with it. When I told the guy at the next the next morning, he did not seem apologetic or even particularly interested in the issue. the price was right, but . . .

Should improve

The check in lacked that attention required for that type of hotel. The hotel and rooms are clean, the table and chair was obviously removed from the rooms. Breakfast was good.

Great spot!

Hotel Blue's central location was perfect to use as a base for exploring Albuquerque. Lots to do within walking distance and great neighborhoods were within easy reach by car as well. Couldn't ask for a better spot while searching for a permanent place to live in the city.

just ok...for one night

was ok for one night, but wouldn't want to stay any longer. room was very small, lighting was extremely poor. had to call housekeeping as there was only one washcloth and hand towel in bathroom. also, only one pack of decaf coffee, no cream, sugar, or stirrers.

ABQ

The staff was excellent. The photos on the web show the best features as the rest of the hotel appears to be under new management and an upgrade. Overall a nice stay but photos show a more modern hotel than it actual is which was disappointing .
