Lovely insides

Now you might see the outside of this hotel and think it looks old. But don't judge a book by it's cover! It was lovely inside, nice big bed and bathroom. The staff was very nice and friendly. The main issue is there is little parking near the hotel and the area could use an update.

Quaint, older, but great location

Great location, right downtown. Older style hotel, but has secure parking areas. Breakfast was standard, but they have "Starbucks" coffee. Take advantage of the free shuttle and take a trip to "Old Town". The restaurants were great and the plaza offered many shopping experiences.

Don't stay here

This hotel's management wrote the book on cutting corners to save money. We got one hand towel for two people. The furnishings were cheap and shabby. One uncomfortable metal chair with a stained seat cushion. The disgusting huge soap and shampoo pumps with products unknown inside. The coffee maker hadn't been cleaned in years. Carpets everywhere stained. No Monday Night Football on the fancy satellite TV because" nobody watches that". I had to pin the meager drapes shut to get any privacy. On and on. I saw hotel desk staff wave an unkempt person from the park across the street in to use the lobby restroom. The young woman who checked us in yawned in our faces. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. This was probably the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in.

Nice Hotel

Great location, very clean rooms, fantastic tempurpedic bed! Only downside is the parking lot. It has automatic doors to enter and you have to use your room key. Sometimes it worked , sometimes it didn't. Other than that, no complaints.

Location and Price

You can't get better value than this. Good price, excellent customer service, and comfortable beds. Interesting things to note: The room doors face outward, like in a motel, except onto a shared balcony. Also, there is no bar soap. They have free dispensers in the shower and by the sink that give you all you need in terms of shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, etc.

Perfect place for abq's downtown nightlife

Very clean. Shocked to see how nice the rooms are. Shows never to judge a book by its cover. The building itself was old, but everything, including the smallest amenities were modern and up to date. I felt they really tried to make their guests feel special. I didn't even feel like we were staying in Albuquerque. I was able to drink and enjoy all downtowns poppin clubs and bars, all within walking distance of my hotel. No DWI for my friends and I. I will stay there again.

Best Value

Needs a little TLC. Room was comfortable with good bed. Could use an upgrade for hanging clothes as the present closet is not adequate. Elevators need attention. Met my needs at a reasonable price.

Not as shown online

We were very disappointed - not in a good area and really quite run down. The first thing we saw was the peeling paint outside and rust on all the railings. The room was definitely not worth what we paid .

2 night stay

no exhaust in bathroom - entire room in steam after one takes shower; same switch to turn light on in bathroom (i.e. behind the door) and sink-area in the room - i.e. one can't to go to bathroom at night without waking other up; A/C so noisy one can't really sleep - turn it off and one can't sleep the room is so stuffy; directTV - out of whatever number of channels - about 8-10 really working, on others get "not subscribed" message; the rest were just small stuff, like: door butterfly got closed on the inside while door was closed on the outside - hotel staff had to cut the butterfly to open the door; bathroom got locked from inside while closed on outside - no problem, hotel staff fixed that in 10-15 min; room key twice stopped opening the garage gate - no problem, hotel staff fixed that in 5-10 min; what else? I forgot ... it was time to checkout
