Good choice for downtown hotel

I was at a conference and did not want to stay in the conference hotel but I wanted to be close enough to walk to the conference. This was an excellent (and reasonable) choice. It is an old style motel with outdoor corridors, but is well maintained. I thought it was very good value for the money. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast (included in the rate) was ample. There were two computers in the lobby for guest use with no extra charge. Parking was free in a room key activated lot. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is not luxurious, but I would stay there again.

Friendly and good value in Albuquerque

There are still some renovations and repairs to be accomplished at The Hotel Blue, however, you cannot beat the price for the location. The best part is the helpfulness of the staff and their free shuttle service to and from the airport, convention center, and old town.

OK at best

Staff, shuttle service & internet access all great. Room is in need of overhaul, all looking very worn, though bed was comfy. Heater was really noisy and outdoor access not good, didn't feel safe. Location is bad for outdoor access as DT Albuquerque did not instill a feeling of safety. Overall the hotel was ok...but the location was awful.

Nice enough w cute outdoor pool area

Staff forgot to mention the breakfast avail, which was too bad for me since the room was well-equipped w a variety of food/bevg stations, sunny & overlooking the nice (but small) outdoor pool area. Common areas, outdoor hallways & bldg exterior a bit rundown, but my rm had a comfy bed/pillows, a fridge/microwave, a flatscrn tv, and an electric fireplace.

Great choice for conventions.

We were very impressed with everything-staff, rooms,Temper Pedic mattresses--wonderful! We especially appreciated the easy shuttle to and from our hotel to our convention and to Old Town. Like the secure parking. Will always stay here when in town.

Excellent value

I was attending a conference at a hotel near the convention center. This hotel was an excellent value considering the cost at the conference hotel. I was able to walk to and from the conference hotel even though Hotel Blue offered to shuttle me back and forth. The rooms were clean and nice. Nothing fancy but a great family or business traveler choice. Free shuttle to/from airport and old town area, Morning breakfast, exercise room, plug-in internet connection in the room and excellent front desk staff made my stay GREAT!!!!! Excellent restaurants, shopping, and Catholic church in walking distance. Really great location for the price.

Ok For the Price

Picked me up at the airport ok. Drivers have limited English Knowledge.Hotel is Not Fancy, old, run down, not like the picture. Not well taken care of.Bed was ok.Room was clean.I never ate breakfast there. Italian restaurant across the street was good.A little high priced on any add on,or Deserts,Beware.I'm disabled, can't walk far,so I never went anywhere around the area.Pool was not open yet. It's right downtown, good location if that's where you need to go.If you like a real nice Fancy, very clean place, don't stay here.

Things aren't always as the appear

I stayed in the Hotel Blue while attending a conference. The hotel looks nothing like the image. Hotel Blue needs major renovations! The carpet is old along with the linen which also possess an "old" odor. I would not recommend this hotel! One good thing is that they have a shuttle...well van that runs 7am-10pm.
