Great Location

The price and location were great. It's centrally located with good access to either I25 or 40. They had gated parking and the breakfast was excellent.

OK but not great

We arrived late in the evening. The hotel staff was accommodating and the hotel was easy to find (of course with google maps, what isn't nowadays). The real disappointment, as far as amenities, was the complete lack of ice machines. Our standard procedure, once we're in the room and basically unpacked is to go fill up the ice bucket and get ready for some in-room relaxation. Ice machine on our floor (3rd) didn't work. Ice machine on the 2nd floor didn't work. Ice machine on the 4th floor didn't work. My wife went to the front desk to complain and was told Oh, well the one on the 5th floor is working! She went to the 5th floor. Ice machine not working. She returned to the desk: Do you have any ice anywhere? In the kitchen? Laundry? Manager's office? None anywhere in the building. Seriously. Bottom line: don't stay here if you enjoy ice in your room. On the bright side, the breakfast was very good lots of choices, eggs and sausage, etc. Excellent bed. If their amenities had been better or if the staff had been more forthright about the problem, I would have rated them higher. Probably will find another hotel next time in Albuquerque.

Lovely insides

Now you might see the outside of this hotel and think it looks old. But don't judge a book by it's cover! It was lovely inside, nice big bed and bathroom. The staff was very nice and friendly. The main issue is there is little parking near the hotel and the area could use an update.

Just OK

Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed (Tempur-Pedic), Fast Wi-Fi, excellent free breakfast (relative to what most hotels serve as a free breakfast), hot shower, medium size fridge and microwave in room. This would be a great hotel for someone vacationing in the area, who would mostly be driving to attractions. Cons: -Location is about 0.5 miles from Convention Center. The walk between the Convention Center and the hotel is a bit intimidating at night -- deserted streets. I didn't see anything particularly troubling, but I didn't feel 100% safe either. -Room had a desk and a chair, but the chair wasn't on wheels, which I would prefer. Also, there was no other armchair in the room, which nicer hotels tend to have. -One time, I got a signal that there were too many people using the Wi-Fi -- so, I couldn't use it that morning.

perfect for concerting and nightlife

Walking distance to the 2 best personal size music venues in the state of NM. Walking distance to several good restaurants and bars. I was placed in one of their newly renovated rooms which wawanot overdone. Room was very clean. And the beds were very comfy. If you take vacations to only use a hotel for sleeping, this is a perfect hotel. They also have a pretty remarkable breakfast compared to other hotels in its league.

The Library makes killer mixed and naked drinks. Only 3 blocks away. The Sunshine Theater is 4.5 blocks away, The Launchpad is 2 blocks away. A music lovers dream circuit hotel.
