2 night stay

no exhaust in bathroom - entire room in steam after one takes shower; same switch to turn light on in bathroom (i.e. behind the door) and sink-area in the room - i.e. one can't to go to bathroom at night without waking other up; A/C so noisy one can't really sleep - turn it off and one can't sleep the room is so stuffy; directTV - out of whatever number of channels - about 8-10 really working, on others get "not subscribed" message; the rest were just small stuff, like: door butterfly got closed on the inside while door was closed on the outside - hotel staff had to cut the butterfly to open the door; bathroom got locked from inside while closed on outside - no problem, hotel staff fixed that in 10-15 min; room key twice stopped opening the garage gate - no problem, hotel staff fixed that in 5-10 min; what else? I forgot ... it was time to checkout

Great cheap getaway

This was the perfect hotel for the price we pay. Free transportation to and from the hotel and around the area (e.g. to Old Town). Easy to get too. Continental breakfast was great, they even provided hot options (eggs, bacon, sausage). Bed was huge and comfortable. The outside looks terrible, but the room itself was nice.

Friendly and good value in Albuquerque

There are still some renovations and repairs to be accomplished at The Hotel Blue, however, you cannot beat the price for the location. The best part is the helpfulness of the staff and their free shuttle service to and from the airport, convention center, and old town.

A gem

Not much to look at from the outside, a nice art-deco lobby inside. Very nice and helpful lady at reception. The room was quiet and clean except for some debris that may have blown in through the gaps in the door. Also, some wear and tear was evident. Very comfortable mattress. An amusing observation: The "one way" arrows in the secured parking lot were pointing at each other. Average breakfast. There are numerous options for food and drink nearby. All in all, quite a pleasant stay.

OK at best

Staff, shuttle service & internet access all great. Room is in need of overhaul, all looking very worn, though bed was comfy. Heater was really noisy and outdoor access not good, didn't feel safe. Location is bad for outdoor access as DT Albuquerque did not instill a feeling of safety. Overall the hotel was ok...but the location was awful.

Nice enough w cute outdoor pool area

Staff forgot to mention the breakfast avail, which was too bad for me since the room was well-equipped w a variety of food/bevg stations, sunny & overlooking the nice (but small) outdoor pool area. Common areas, outdoor hallways & bldg exterior a bit rundown, but my rm had a comfy bed/pillows, a fridge/microwave, a flatscrn tv, and an electric fireplace.

Great choice for conventions.

We were very impressed with everything-staff, rooms,Temper Pedic mattresses--wonderful! We especially appreciated the easy shuttle to and from our hotel to our convention and to Old Town. Like the secure parking. Will always stay here when in town.

Decent value

Pros: Very comfortable bed (tempurpedic), 42" flat screen with DirecTV HD, Feaux fireplace/space heater was a fantastic touch! Complementary continental breakfast, free shuttle to Old Town was very convenient. Cons: Door opened to outdoor walkway, window faced same walkway, so had to keep curtains drawn for privacy (no partially opaque sheer), room had no lounge couch/chair, bathroom was cramped, sheets/bedding was torn in several places.
