I like the location and the staff was friendly. Although I initally requested for an ajoining room so we could stay ... together. At first, it looked like we got an ajoining room but when we got to the rooms we were across the hall from one another. I also wanting one room with 2 beds but it was a king. I didnt want to go down and request for changes since we already checked in. I figured we were okay for the night.

Very nice, newly remodeled hotel"
Recent New Mexico Visitor Oct 19, 2009
This was our first visit to Albuquerque and our daughter recommended the Sheraton Uptown, because it was newly remodeled, and ... in a good location. We were very happy with our stay there. The hotel was busy--and this was the week after the Balloon Festival. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. The bathroom had granite and the bedding was upscale. We enjoyed complimentary Starbuck's coffee in our room every morning.

Great Stay
Hiker Sep 7, 2009
Very comfortable and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location for the activities we had going on and easy to get to ... from any part of the city (a bit far from the night life on Central, though). Only downfall is lack of insulation from hallway noise - you could practically hear people breathing as they clomped by.

An excellent and relaxing stay!
Traveler Aug 3, 2009
The extensive rennovation has certainly transformed this hotel - it is beaufitul. The room was very nicely appointed and the ... staff could not have been more helpful. I enjoyed a very relaxing time and plan to stay there again when I can. The Bliss products were an added bonus to complete the experience. Only two negatives that I would say (although they did not significantly detract from the experience). First, the walls are a bit thin and you can hear the plumbing at work. Second, there is Wi-Fi but it is an additional charge (slightly annoying). Overall a nice hotel and a pleasant stay.

Almost perfect, but cold
Bouncer Jun 23, 2009
We went for a family wedding, and took a couple days of vacation. An example of the "stinginess" is the one cup and two ... sugar packets per person per day in the room. No cookie, no hard candy. Anyone who wants a second cup, has to purchase it at Starbucks's price in the lobby. Local phone calls cost 75 cents. Nitpicking, yes. Otherwise, the hotel is excellent.

Sheraton Up town, nice
Jan Ma Jun 19, 2009
Room clean, given extra towels, easy to get around town from this location. Walked to a nice large shopping center. Walked ... to restaurants. Easily accessible parking lot. Quiet floor. Internet access in lobby. did have issue with key card on the 3rd night there and had to go back down to the lobby to get it reissued which at 11pm is not what you want to have to be doing. One elevator was out of order the whole 5 days there. Made you wait for elevators longer. Newly remodeled bathrooms need a fan in them after taking shower- mirrors fogged up for quite a while and no mirror out in other area of room with proper lighting so someone could do make up out there while some one in the bathroom. the way the doors to room and bathroom swing makes it congested area when entering the room.

The room was beautiful and exceptionably comfortable; our fellow travelers, who booked rooms in other hotels, were jealous at ... our luxury accommodations for such a reasonable price. All of the staff, from front desk to housekeeping, were extremely helpful and courteous.

A great location and easily accessible from the airport. Only complaint was the lack of a shuttle bus, but evidently that's a rare item in Albuquerque (only 2 hotels in town offer it). Our personal travel plans prevented us from taking advantage of the nearby shopping, which was plentiful and upscale.

Nice remodel
Seattle Sleuth May 16, 2009
Nice remodel in a pretty good location. Lived in ABQ for 8 years so new the area, close to food and anything else you need. ... Make sure you don't get the "Orbitz treatment" at check in. Had to fight for the king room I requested and was told I was going to get the two twins because I booked on Orbitz and the king was being held for people who paid full price. Same thing with my rental car where they downgraded me to a compact after I paid for midsize. I was in too much of a rush to go back in after I realized. ABQ Avis sucks.
