Nice motel on Route 66 near Old Town with a European Flair
Rooms were older but very clean. The owners were very nice and the location was within walking distance from Old Town. Not many amentities, and we were disappointed that the pool wasn't open with 100 degree temperatures. All in all, a good experience and would consider returning.

Old sheets, but with great hospitality, as advertised.
My reception at the motel was way above expectations. The proprietor is very friendly and had lots of useful travel advice for the area. The location is very convenient - walkable distance from Old Town and on historic Route 66. However, when as I was tucking in for the night, the sheets had a "greasy" feeling. Don't get me wrong, they seemed like they had been laundered, but have accumulated a grime like on the back of an old Oxford...I ended up sleeping on top of a few bath towels. Not exactly what I had hoped for...

Worth a Second Visit!
The Monterey Non Smokers motel is a fantastic value. We stayed 1 night before heading out to Taos the next day. Very clean, terrific linens, and close to Old Towne, this motel is a great bargain if you plan to stay a couple of nights. I would certainly recommend it to friends.

Stayed twice
Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, with owners that care. Park at your door and an easy walk to old town. We liked it well enough to stay on our return trip.

Very Clean
The motel was very clean and was walking distance to Old Town. The price was very reasonable. The bathroom door knob didn't lock and the deadbolt on the outside door didn't work. Those things didn't bother me, but the VERY firm beds hurt our backs. If the beds were softer, I'd recommend this place because it fit the budget.

Hidden gem
This motel looks and feels like home, not a motel. The decorating is homey, the owners are a delightful, friendly couple. There are laundry facilities and a pool. The location is wonderful and the price is most reasonable. The motel is on old US 66 and there is easy access to I 40. A good place to stay for several days and see the sights around Albuquerque.

Old Town is just two blocks from the motel and a wonderful place to shop, including vendors selling jewelry on the sidewalks.

Nice little place to stay.
I really liked this hotel. It was quite comfortable and in walking distance from the old town area. The man that was running the place was very friendly and helpful and recommended a great place to eat. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the TV (well over 200 channels) was a nice escape after a long drive.
