I love this place
Been here before and it's very clean and the people are friendly and helpful. It's a little noisy because it's next to a very large truck stop but if your A/C is on, you don't here that either.

Not luxury, but great value
Rooms are small, but comfortable and clean. If you are vacationing or on business and just need a convenient (right off one of the major highways-40) place to sleep, this is a good choice. Seems to be family owned and run--helpful, friendly staff, from my experience. Right across from a 24hr truck stop, which didn't bother me, and I benefitted from the restaurant there, which serves large portions of simple country-style food, accompanied by really friendly attentive service. The Microtel serves a free continental breakfast that looked good, but I was in the mood for a hot meal.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There's a McDonald's and a small mall with a Dollar Tree not far away. You may want to drive if you intend on stocking up on toiletries, snack, and other provisions at the Dollar Tree, as I did. Prices and selection there are great.

My trip to Albuquerque
I was there for a funeral and was pleased to find a nice clean, quiet room. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again. The place my brother booked did not please him at all. The only problem I had was finding a place that was close to my sister's house.

Happy experience
I was happy with the location and view of the city from there. Convenient location for gassing up the car and Denny's was across the street. Also enjoyed the continental breakfast. I will be staying there each time I return to Albuquerque. Pleasantly surprised.

Not a bad place but.......
Be careful about what you are booking at a Microtel. We thought, based on the ad, that the room had a microwave and a coffee maker. It didn't even have a hairdryer! We were told upon check-in that those amenities are only available in the "suites". But I guess for $59 a night we should be happy. The room was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Unfortunately this place was located right next to a large truck stop and was fairly noisy at night. But, the location, right off I40 was pretty good. Overall, it didn't detract from our stay but next time I'll look for a better location or book my "suite" on the south side of the building.

If you want to go to the Balloon Fiesta be sure to book a few month's early to get a good price. If you wait too long the prices are DOUBLE!

Friendly Travler from MN
Clean, but nothing special
It was a place to sleep while I was on vacation, but not somewhere to relax or spend any down time. It was across from a noisy truck-stop. My view was of a Truck Wash. We were told that our room was non-smoking, but it still smelled like smoke. There were no extras. No Shampoo, no coffee maker. The free continental breakfast didn't have much more then Cheerios. At least the rooms were cleaned well every day.

small vacation
I have to say that i have stayed at way better MicroTel Suites. This location was not to expectations. Dirty and big need of a renovation! There was no pool or hot tub like most MicroTels. The customer service was not the best that it could be, rude customer service.

Worst example of a hotel and bad locatio
This hospital was priced moderately. However, the location of the Hotel was situated next to a very busy truck stop, truck wash, and a 24 hour adult book store was situated directly in front of the facility. Nothing like stepping out with a cup of coffee to overlook the view of Albuquerque and see people coming and going from this establishment. With several children around it was upsetting. I understand that there was no visible activity, but who knows what happens in that parking lot. If you choose to use this facility, make sure you stop and get basic amenities as there is no shampoo in the room. If you need a hair dryer, you must check the hair dryer out from the front desk. The clocks in the room do not work properly and the alarm could not be set in either room we had rented. Since we did not have an alarm clock that worked, we asked that the front desk give us a 0430 wake up call. Call was finally received at 0545. Way to be on the ball. The room was fairly clean, but did not have a pleasant smell. The bed was very comfortable and pillows were adequate. High speed internet access was dependable and provided quality speed.

Balloon Festival was an excellent venue. If you go, be sure to use one of the satellite parking facilities and be shuttled into the park. Makes for a very easy commute. By your tickets ahead of time on line. Well worth the experience.
