Nice Location, friendly service
BillyCool Oct 28, 2009
This hotel is a nice hotel if you're not looking for anything fancy and if you want a good price. The price was very good, ... the rooms were clean, and the atmosphere was good. The overall condition of the rooms could use some improvement, but they're not bad. The rooms just seem a little worn or old and could use a remodel. The service was friendly and the internet service is FREE. It was raining and windy the night we were there and whenever we opened the door, leaves kept flying into the room and got all over the carpet.

We went for the Balloon Fiesta and booked our tickets back in May. When we got there we were given a smoking room and no ... other option since it was so packed for the Fiesta. The room stank so bad we had to go out and purchase a candle, sachets for our clothes and a car diffuser for the air conditioner. The next morning they were able to move us to a non smoking room. The breakfast area floor and tables were very dirty the 2 mornings we were there and I heard other guests commenting on it. On the upside Eric at the front desk was very nice and always very helpful.

La Quinta NE Albuquerque - Sweet Deal
Alive - Just Badly Injured Sep 14, 2009
The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Great value at a great location on I-25 so you can get anywhere you want ... to go easily. Minutes from Old Town shopping, minutes from the airport, minutes from Sandia Mountain Tram (a must see) and less than an hour from Santa Fe. The breakfast buffet was very basic. Denny's is right next door. What does LaQuinta mean in Spanish? "Next to Denny's" I've heard! This place is a really good value for visitors on the go. The pool was sparkling clean and perfect temp too.

Kennedy family birthday celebration
Bobbi Aug 26, 2009
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was off I25 so it was convenient to all sites we wanted to visit. The continental ... breakfast was more than adequate. As we were celebrating the 100th birthday of a family member, we had 5 rooms reserved and no one had anything negative to say. Some of the family members used the pool and enjoyed it.
Traveler type: Family
We particularly enjoyed our visit to Old Town and the tram to the top of Sandia Mountain. Also, the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Art and History were next to Old Town and both were definitely worth the visit.

Orbitz rates higher than hotel's rate!
Turtle Sister Aug 17, 2009
Although I paid $65 (incl. taxes) on Orbitz, the La Quinta Hotel in Albuquerque had a banner across the building which posted ... "$49 Rooms." Evidently, Orbitz rates aren't better than contacting La Quinta directly.

It shouldn't even be a hotel on Orbitz
Bjo Aug 13, 2009
I didn't like it, all of my families feet turned black from the carpet. I requested a roll away bed first thing when I ... checked in and I never got it. I requested it three times. The table was broken and could have fallen on one of my kids. I went to the lobby and asked for a spoon and the woman told me to go get under the cabinet and get one. The cabinet that is for employee's only. I will not stay at that hotel again. I will try another La Quinta, but not that one.

Nice and quiet hotel. Not a lot of bells and whistles but it will do the job if you're a no frills traveler. Polite staff ... and clean rooms. Nice location--it seemed like everything we wanted to see and do wasn't more than 15 minutes away. The hotel backs up to a 55 and over community so it was very quiet. The pool is a bit small but was not very busy so it was adequate.

Ridiculously Amazing For The Price!!!!!
showbo Jul 26, 2009
The free high speed wi-fi was great. It allowed me to stay on top of my homework. The bathroom could have been cleaner, ... left over hair from someone else, guest of worker, is not exactly ideal. The carpets were slighty soiled, but hey, for the price, I am still 99.9% satisfied! I stayed at the Ecno Lodge on Central before, and besides them having queen size beds, had doubles in my room, this La Quinta was twice as good.

The Dad Jul 18, 2009
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had some restroom plumbing issues and toilet paper was found in the toilet when we arrived. ... We also found cigarrete butts in the window sills. Orbitz boasted a weightroom and running track but the hotel didn't have any of the two. The swimming pool was great though and the staff was very friendly.
