Don't believe their cancellation policy!
My employee was scheduled to attend a conference at the Hyatt Regency She called the 800 number and made the reservation. When asked if she was part of a group she responded she was attending a conference at the hotel and the agent gave her the group rate. The confirmation showed a 24-hour cancellation policy. When she canceled a week prior to the conference, the hotel charged her for the entire three night stay. Even though her confirmation, as well as cancellation confirmation, showed a 24 hour cancellation policy the hotel comptroller said the group rate was non-refundable and the hotel has declined to refund the charges. If you are attending a conference there you cannot rely on the cancellation policy printed on your receipts, so please beware. I would recommend staying at an alternative hotel.

Once Bitten
ABQ
On Friday, 09-11-09, my wife's 50th birthday, we attempted to have dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Upon entering we were told we could not be seated for at least an hour and a half due to their being that far behind because of being short-staffed. The adjacent bar was not much better, also being way behind, only having one server and one bartender, not serving guests seated outside on the patio, no seating in the bar, and at least a 30 minute wait time to take a to-go order at the bar because of being - - short-staffed. After a very long wait my to-go order arrived only to discover after returning to my room that my entree had been left out, causing another trip back to the bar to get my wife's burger - - not he birthday meal we had planned on, not the happiest of birthdays. I will not use this hotel again. The $12/day parking, no free wi-fi, and no service at the restaurant is not the ideal way to spend a vacation. Next time we will stay in Santa Fe.

Disappointing for a Hyatt...
This Hyatt Regency didn't live up to my expectations. The hotel was older and needs to be updated. The carpeting in the halls looked dirty but the room wasn't that bad. The worst part of the hotel was McGrath's Restaurant. The service and food were abysmal at best. I ordered an omelet for breakfast but it was made with Egg Beaters and I couldn't get a refill on my drink. The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because it was adjacent to the Convention Center and the other two hotels where my friends stayed were full. At least the front desk staff and bell boys were really friendy.

disappointed
i chose this hotel because it was listed as a four-star hyatt and I was shocked. Generally speaking, a coffee machine is available in the room or a refrigerator, this room had neither. The decor was old and the room poorly designed. The hairdryer was so old, it looked like it would fall apart at any moment. All my other experiences with Hyatt have been top notch. This was a real disappointment.

Great Travelers
Deficient in ways!
The Hotel is well located. We went to a graduation at Tingsley Coliseum, visited old town, Route 66 Casino, Isleta Casino and went Hot Air Ballooning which was amazing. The only down sides to our trip was a young lady named [...] at the front desk in the PM was extraordinarily rude. There is an unreasonable wait for service in the main bar when the place is half empty. Housekeeping was very sluggish.

OK, but not necessarily a great value
The staff was nice but confused about the package I had booked for the Balloon Fiesta. The shuttle was not available to and from the Fiesta which resulted in us paying an extra $20 for parking. The water pressure in the shower was poor, the towels were worn and a bit scratchy. Overall the hotel was beautiful but it's the little things I was disappointed in. My mother stayed in the Super 8 with her friends and got a better value for her money, I think. I paid twice what they did and definitely didn't get twice the value.

Dirty and under construction
I stayed here several years ago and it was nice. It is now dirty, hard to get in and out of and is currently under construction, all of which was not stated on the web pages. I was very disappointed.
