A Name Change, Didn't Change Much

So the bed was the best thing, which after dealing with a rude staff, which made me leave the property to go deposit more money, instead of letting me C/I and trusting that I would return and provide my CC yet again. I was only greeted by an older man later in the night, 1 out of how many people I had came across. They try to upgrade the look but forgot to switch out their 90's PHONES and 80's ALARM CLOCK, I will not stay here again.

A Tale of two hotels

The staff and the bar/café/restaurant and everything at the front end of the hotel are excellent - can't find a fault there. The rooms and the room corridors however are dark, grubby, and showing their age. Putting a new bed and a flat screen tv in a room doesn't cover up the fact that the rooms need a down-to-the-studs re-model...in fact, tear the whole room building down (the one at the back of the main building) and start again. I was in two rooms and the bathrooms .... well the only work suitable is "poor". The carpets in the rooms were clean and looked new, but the corridors were disgusting. There are a couple of room "sections", I'd rate them as old and poor, and less old and less poor but still poor. The indoor fish pond .... well that was a stupid idea. Good value though if you can get a rate under $60. I was there for business so I did not visit the water park....so I can't comment except to say that the hotel got invaded by noisy families over the weekend.

Large drugstore across the parking lot for snacks and beer (if you like) ... but there's no refrigerator in the rooms.

Weekend getaway for the kids

Checking in was a fast. My parents had their own room next to ours and their toilet did not work. Maintenance fixed it but then our toilet in our room didn't work. Went to the pool and they had run our of towels. My wife went to the front desk for towels and was told by an employee that laundry was not responding and suggested that we walk our kids to our room. My wife spoke to a manager and they changed my parents and us to another set of rooms. Rooms were cleaner but still were dirty.

3 day get away

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a nice setup. (Including a sleep number bed) parking was plentiful and convienently located right by my room. Amenities were nice and maintained well. I def enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others, as well as stay here again. My only one complaint was that the restaurant/room service closes down at ten, but other than that, I had a great stay.

Fun family hotel

Staff was VERY friendly and VERY helpful. Mattress was uncomfortable - but I think we were supposed to get a remote to adjust the bed - we didn't get it and didn't know to ask. Room was clean. Hotel is a little old but nice. Didn't eat at the cafe, but it was convenient. Waterpark was soooo fuuunnn!! But you do have to pay separately unless you get a package. We would stay again!

Hotel Cascada

We stayed at the Hotel Cascada to try out the water park. Our stay was average nothing out of the ordinary. The room was ok, the first day housekeeping didn't go until after 3 pm because I called the front office. The water park is nothing amazing for the $20 per person charge and there were no towels available for actual hotel guests which they should accommodate since we are spending the extra money to stay there. It was a decent place however would probably not stay again since we have already tried it once. Not really a resort as there are no other activities or perks available besides paying extra to go to the water park and does not really distinguish itself as a resort as it's in the middle of the street and not really exclusive with open properties.

More than I expected

This hotel is awesome. I was surprised of the size. It is huge and very clean. Rooms have sleep number beds which is pretty cool and this hotel is 10 minutes away from everything. The staff was great and very polite. Internet Wifi not so good but if your going on vacation to stay in the room using the Internet then just stay at home. The water park is also great especially if you have little ones. Overall it was a great experience for the price and I'll definitely be here again.
