Great Location

The Hotel Albuquerque was a great choice for us considering the things we had on our "to do" list. It was within walking ... distance to Old Town and minutes away from the Aquarium and the Botanical Gardens. It was also a short trip down Central ( old US 66) to the train station for a ride to Sante Fe. The Hotel was clean and guiet at night even with four wedding party's on Saturday night.

No room at the Inn
Janet and Peter Oct 22, 2009
We had booked well in advance for late arrival. We flew that day from London via Phoenix and arrived at 10.15 at night (5.15 ... the following morning for our body clocks). We were informed without apology that they had no rooms as they had let them to conference delegates to stay on after their conference. I asked to see the duty manager. He told a different story - they had given our room to "travellers in distress". The next day the duty manager confirmed the first story, also saying that their behaviour was normal and that they were able to charge higher rates in such circumstances. They had found a cheaper hotel across the road for us - where we had a sleepless night in a room right under a busy interstate intersection. However it had no restaurant or bar open, and we had not eaten or had a drink for 8 hours. In over 40 years of international travel I have never been treated with so little respect or regard for my position as a customer.

Modern Hotel with a misleading facade
Frankie Machine Aug 10, 2009
Took walking tour of Old Town and visited Pueblo Museum of New Mexico. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful but is misleading ... in that the rooms are modern with not as much charm as the entrance and lobby. We stayed in a room that had a very loud air conditioner, which kept us up all night.

Old Town Albuquerque Hotal
Doctor M Mar 3, 2009
A great hotel walking distance to "Historic" Old Town Albuquerque with lots of shopping and great restaurants. The service in ... the hotel was excellent. However the food in the hotel restaurant was mediocre, but the waitress was honest about the quality of the food. There were lots of parties going on Friday and Saturday - that could have been just because it was Valentines day, but I suspect it is never "quiet and restful"

Monroe's is the best southwest food you will find. A very short drive (or long not very pleasant walk) takes you to food just like your Grandma made, if she was a really good cook. Also, in the Old Town, there are two other great restaurants on the main square, which are both an easy short walk.

Best Pool in New Mexico
Michael Aug 23, 2008
I stayed at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town for just one night at the end of a business conference. Easy and friendly ... check-in, with the thoughtful gesture of a cool, wet face towel. This hotel must have the best pool in New Mexico. It's huge, clean, with comfortable chairs, and privacy. Very nice and a reason to return. This hotel is in the best neighborhood in Albuquerque. I stayed downtown at a conference for the first several days of my stay and believe the conference would have been better served by the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town.

Carol Jul 15, 2007
All hotel personnel very helpful and friendly. The location was within walking distance to Old Town and great dining. It was ... also close to I-40 for going to Santa Fe. Check out the Church Street Cafe for great food at low prices. The upper floors in the hotel had great views of the city. Overall a very enjoyable stay, could use a little updating of the lamps and TV. The bed was very comfortable.
