My first trip to Albuquerque
This was my first trip to Hard Rock Cafe and Casino at Albuquerque, NM. I enjoyed the trip and the stayed at the hotel. I also enjoyed the Comic Books Convention. The hotel shops and itself was a bit expensive for my wallet but I enjoyed and I am planning to go back in the future.

Not too family friendly
The biggest thing probably hurting this hotel is the clientel. We have stayed twice now at the Hard Rock ABQ with our kids while visiting relatives in town. The hotel is nice enough, the rooms are clean, and there is a nice pool for the kids to play in. There was no mini fridge and the TV took almost 2 min to come on after making clicking noises over and over again. The kids were really surprised too when they tried to add more warm water to their bath and cold water came out the shower head above them even though it was not set to. The problem is during both trips we lost at least one night of sleep due to drunk neighbors coming in during the middle of the night, cussing and swearing and waking everybody up. Our first night this stay we had to call the front desk 3 times and finally after their third warning security evicted them from the hotel. Again not exactly the hotels fault that they have rude guests. The biggest thing I would have liked would have been a followup the next day to see if we felt the problem was resolved. When we checked out they did not even ask how our stay was. I'm really not sure if we will ever stay here again after having two bad experiences with other guests. As other people have mentioned the casino is way too smokey. You'd think a more modern hotel like this would have a better ventalation system.

Latter part of our honeymoon
We got married on 11.11.11 and decided to stay somewhere we had not yet visited and spend our money domestically in the U.S. The first part of our trip was relaxing in Santa Fe and we wanted an exciting place to stay in the city of Albuquerque. This was a one resort destination! Luxury, security, gaming, excellent staff, room service, and employees. We could have not asked for more!

Better than anticipated
After reading reviews, I was very nervous about staying at HRA. BUT much to my surprise, the place was quite, my room was very clean and very comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. Keep in mind this stay was on a Wednesday night, not a weekend. I could tell getting close to the casino the smoke was insane but I didn't smell it in the lobby or my room.

Birthday celebration
The two women that helped us could not find our reservation and were rude. They attempted one time to find with our confirmation number and told us we did not have a room and gave up. The man that did find the room was nice. The room was not the room we had requested with resort view, the TV did not work and there was not a coffee pot in the room.

Hard Rockin in Abq.
When I first walked in, it smelled Great!! The smell was very relaxing. We had great customer service and the food was good at Tewa Cafe. The night life not so great. Very small club and smoking is allowed. Overall, the experience was good. i would like to go back for the summer to check out the pool area.

Great overnight trip!
The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is awesome, jacuzzi even better... Very relaxing! Plenty to do without leaving hotel. They have a sports bar to watch football, coffee shop and great buffet. All personel were extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived early and they had a room , so they let us check in early without having to wait. Highly recommend for any length of stay. Only negative was location, but still right off freeway, so o.k.

Good appearance, bad stay
Hotel looks really nice, but the room was not nice. No coffee machine, no frig and the TV gets about 15 channels with only about half that work. One night they didn't even clean the room.

Long walk from hotel
The non-casino entertainment that they publish (i.e. bowling, laser-tag, etc.) is in another building seperate from the hotel. You have to walk there or drive.

Hot Air Balloon Week
The rooms are clean and the beds are great. The staff is very nice and helpful. The restaurants have good food but a lot of Mexican, older parents did not care for. SMOKE!!! in the casino was very bad most all the time. Even in the non-smoking areas of casino. Had a great visit and would go back. Just be advised that it is located outside of the city. Not that bad but not close to anything. Very easy to get to. If we needed anything we asked Steven at the front desk and he made it happen Great Guy!
