wonderful staff

First off the only drawbacks were a snafu in my room reservations and the lack of amenities. An attentive and sincere staff made the difference. I will gladly trade a wrong room assignment and no property amenities (pool. gym.etc) for these professionals. If you want personal care and a willingness to please stay here. My favorite experience was being able to go to and from the hotel with the help of the courtesy shuttle as often as I needed. Thanks again.

Business and entertainment

This hotel was fantastic. My only complaint was the air conditioner was a little loud. Loved the location. The staff in the restaurant was great, they actually remembered us and what we all drank with our breakfast, and even the comments I made about our husbands the previous morning! They were great. Will stay there again and again!!

Wonderful Short Stay

I went to the Double Tree for a short business related trip. The hotel itself was fantastic. It was very comfy, clean, and relaxing with everything I needed readily available. Not in the best area of town, so you kinda have to drive a bit to get to the better food selections, but great otherwise.

Two night Stay

The parking lot was full after my ten hour drive, had to park a block down the street, and did not know about the underground walkway to the hotel.

Track & Field Championships weekend

The hotel is beautiful, conveniently located right across from the convention center where I competed, has a restaurant (little pricey) and cafe, and provides a shuttle. That part was particularly nice for me. Due to my involvement in competition all weekend, I did not get to sightsee beautiful Albuquerque! Prior to checking out Monday, the hotel arranged for their shuttle bus to take me and drop me off @ Old Town (a must-see) where I had breakfast and was able to walk around and shop for souvenirs for my family and myself. They then picked me back up an hour later and brought me back to the hotel! I really appreciated that. They also quickly resolved an issue where "twice" I was billed for parking when I didn't have a car!! That's not a real complaint, it was just a wee bit annoying! My ONLY complaint was that even though we arrived a couple hours before check-in, the hotel knew that hundreds of people would be arriving out of town for this event and should have had the rooms ready sooner since the previous guests had already checked out. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our room. With that said...they provided those maddenenly DELICIOUS cookies while we waited and that helped pass the time! Overall...GREAT hotel and GREAT service! I'd definitely stay there again without hesitation!!!

first impression

i was there for a conference and parked in your parking lot. My friend was also there, and she was also checking in being charged also. After paying $101.10, you'd think yo were through paying. But no, you have to pay another $10.00 PER vehicle. My friend tried to pay this fee before checking in so it wouldn't go on my credit card but they wouldn't allow it, so if i don't pay off my bill ON TIME it gets charged interest.

Fun Trip, Bad Hotel

We only booked the DoubleTree hotel because our usual Embassy Suites was way to pricey for a last minute booking. We were recommended the DoubleTree, but upon checking in found our presence to be somewhat of an annoyance to the staff. They were not friendly to say the least, and they were not helpful about informing us on the rate of the parking lot. On our way up to the hotel I dropped my jacket, and when we went to the front desk to ask if anyone had turned it in the hotel front desk man seemed reluctant and unhelpful. Also the heater in the room was very loud, and as it was very cold we had it running to maintain a certain temperature. It woke us up repeatedly throughout the night. When we got to our room we read the small booklet they provided us and found out that we should have been greeted with a warm cookie. We were not, we were not even greeted with a smile. I will not be staying at this DoubleTree hotel again. The staff seemed to be a lot of busy kids who did not want to be bothered by work and were not able to explain any of my questions--such as why was there already a $10 charge on my account? Had they charged the first night of parking? It just happens, apparently. Overall: I recommend you book somewhere else, like the Embassy Suites.
