My husband and myself have truly enjoyed ourselves during this vacation break and best of all - the hotel. Good location and ... you can just walk to old town without even bothering to drive. The walk was pleasant and the weather was fantastic. Great restaurants in old town. With the price you paid for the hotel, it is definitely worth it

Good family vacation
First time visitor Oct 11, 2009
All in all we enjoyed our stay at the BW. We've stayed in BW hotels before and have had great complimentary breakfasts. On ... this ocassion however, there was no complimentary breakfast, but there was a restaurant offering breakfast buffet or food from the menu. We were totally dissappointed with the "buffet". For about $10 per person, the "buffet" consisted mainly of pancakes, overcooked scrambled eggs, scones, apples and yoghurt -all of which were dried out and unappetizing. My sister ended up having only a scone, yoghurt and some juice for $10. Not knowing what to eat, my mother asked the waiter for some toast, he came out with one and half slices of cold toast!!! Probably, toast that had been left over. The tea which I ordered was lukewarm. There were no boiled eggs, toast, waffles, fruit, pastries or cereals... things you would expect to find for a $10 breakfast buffet. It was definately not worth the 30 some dollars we paid. We never returned after that!! The hotel however was reasonable and close to freeways and walking distance from the downtown which was nice. However, the noise from the hallways or next door can be audible. This was not too much of a problem though.

We spent a lovely day browsing the stores for local wares such as pottery, jewelry etc. It so happened that our trip coincided with the Balloon Fiesta which allowed us to enjoy a lot of the events that were showing in old town plaza. It was a real treat to sit in the sun and just soak in the culture!

The sewer backed up into our shower and was never repaired. The AC fan sounded like a jet even at the low setting....needed ... to turn the TV all the way up to hear it which I am sure our neighbors did not enjoy.

I was able to use the business center (which had an internet connection available, very nice!) I really appreciated the room ... we received even though it was on the forth floor; which placed us farthest from the noisy highway. I never even noticed the wait staff! It was almost as if they were invisible.

Hotel is nice, clean and inexpensive. Nice clean pool; however, it is outside and was on the cool side. Jacuzzi was warm ... but small. Staff were not very friendly or attentive. Difficult to get their attention. Location is convenient and very close to Explora! and Museum of Natural History and Science. Still overall, it was a pretty good experience just know you get what you pay for.

The hotel was in a decent location, though you still had to call a taxi to get anywhere. The rooms were sized adequately and ... the service was very decent. My only complaint was with other guests that make a lot of noise at 8am and when they vacuum they hit everyone's door a couple times. This can be annoying if you work (or vacation) later in the day.
