Adequate

The room was adequate, but would recommend staying in Ruidoso, NM if possible. Stayed in Alamagordo because of lack of rooms in Cloudcroft, not realizing Ruidoso would have been much more convenient. Would not recommend using Orbitz, since motel price direct would have been 20% less - plus I don't know who Orbitz pays the taxes and fees to that the hotel did not collect.

Can't beat it for the price

Stayed in Alamagordo while attending events at White Sands. While it is a little farther from the Missile range than Las Cruces, it has a much friendlier feel and is a straight shot to the base from the hotel. The hotel was older and so had some of the quirkiness of hotel that were built 20 years ago. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was great. It was a good deal for the price.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

White Sands Nat'l park and Missile Range are right off the highway and a just a short drive once you leave the parking lot.

Pretty good for older hotel-best price!

Stayed in Sept 2010 and the staff were great. Very friendly and courteous. Not the newest looking hotel in town but definitely the best price for what you get. Nice breakfast and the morning front desk lady who check me out was so sweet!
