Pet-friendly budget rooms a short walk to the New York City bus

One of the closest hotels to the Meadowlands Sports Complex, home to the New York Giants, New York Jets and the IZOD Center, Red Roof Inn Meadowlands is also just a minute from the Meadowlands Exposition Center. Enjoy complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby and free wireless Internet throughout the hotel. A couple blocks away, the NJ Transit bus to takes riders to midtown Manhattan. The hotel sits on the Hackensack River and offers a riverside picnic area with barbeque grills, a boat marina and ramp (fees apply).

Not good for staying

Terrible....I was in a non smoking room but I could not sleep due to smoke

NO HEAT

THE DESK GIRL WAS SLOW AND SURLY THE ROOM HAD NO HEAT WHEN I FELT THE RADIATOR TO SEE IF IT WAS WORKING I FOUND A CRACK PIPE THEY DID GIVE ME ANOTHER ROOM BUT EVEN THAT TOOK WAY TO MUCH TIME.

Needs some work

Walked into room took shoes off walked on floor it was soaking wet. Beds were not made when I walked in. Toilet handle was broken looked inside bowl was held together by 2 paper clips.

Good enough

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating when I checked in. I accidentally reserved a smoking room, but they were able to switch me a non-smoking room. The room wasn't big, but like the title states, it was good enough. Nice to have the bus stop 2 block away so I could easily get to Times Square.

Fantastic place

Good place to stay and the commutation to Manhattan is easy and very safe.

trip to manhattan

stayed here for a bus ride to manhattan. 5 minutes walked to bus station and 30 minutes bus to reached penn station. room was average cleaned, staffs were helpful. asked for extra pillow and towels, got it. wished they serving breakfast because no refrigerator, microwave in the room. only wendy and subway across the hotel. 'you get what you pay for'.

Cheap and cheerful

After 5 nights in Manhattan this was a comfortable peaceful place to stay. OK bus service from Port Authority but only one bus an hour so you didn't feel like going back into NY for the evening. Staff very helpful and let us keep our bags there for free until our evening flight.

very good hotel

Very good location. Close to food. Convenient to airport. Free internet. Free onsite parking. Overall good experience. Will stay here again next time when we fly from Newark.

5 night expirince

after few minutes in the room i've gave up.back in the reception damande other room.they gave me some kind buisness upgrade (desk,refrig. and micro. in the room).wi fi worked only 2 day's of 5.the only close thing to it is subway and dunking d. if you bit up and want to spend the night is o.k if your final destination is n.y. and you want to save maney is ok ( but you need rental car to get to the train station) but if you on business spending evenings inside the room-don't rent it it's more like motel than hotel realy.
