Sea Palace Inn

we went there to enjoy the beach, was a good location just one block and a half from the beach

I made reservations for 3 people and when we got there the hotel kept telling us that the room was only reserved for 2 people and tried to make us pay extra even thought I previously paid for 3 people. We had to spend an hour of our vacation talking on the phone with people who could hardly speak English, because they couldn't get it right the first time.

The moment that I walked in to the office to check in I was greeted by someone questioning me about how many people were staying in my room and that if anyone extra was to join us in our room that we were being watched and he would charge us extra. Not exactly a nice greeting and way to start your stay at the beech. Our room did not receive housekeeping (dirty towels, garbage overflowing, same sheets etc...). And on top of all of this our door to our room didn't even need a key to open it. By the second day we realized that you could just walk right in our room without a key. The only plus is the location. Terrible experience. Don't recommend at all.

Switch and bate check-in scam.Given a 3rd floor room in 3/4 empty hotel with offer to a lower floor for $25 more. No towels in room,no control for TV, tiny bit of toilet paper left on roll with no replacement,no phone, no service, no response to simple requests, like towels after you walk down the 3 flights of stairs past totally empty rooms to office to request towels. No wake up call because no phone and no alarm and no cooperation from attendant behind desk.Stay would have been enjoyable if there had been some service and hospitality and basic amenities. Best part of stay was checking out! Compared to other hotels and trips the absolute worst!

Hotels at the Jersey shore gross me out for the most part, but seaside palace may have been the cleanest and one of the most reasonable hotels at seaside heights. The staff was reasonable and courteous. The location was great, only 2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk. Also in walking distance to the night life. The room included what we really needed for this type of trip; AC, refrigerator, microwave, freezer, internet, TV.

We had to pay 50 dollars more because children share the room ! This brings the rate for this not very clean hotel room with broken lights , not so clean laundry, no hairdryer,no coffee, no internet computer available, to 250 dollars, which is the most expensive room we visited in 21 nights in Us and Canada. Even our Sheraton room in Niagara falls was less expensive ! First time with Orbitz, but never again !

We stayed here for one night and found the rooms to be very nice, large and good for the cost. The hotel is a couple blocks from the beach and with parking and beach passes included we felt like it was a good package. We wished the check out could be moved back to 12 from 10 so we could have spent a couple more hours on the beach.
