We found the hotel perfectly situated for our purpose. The front desk staff only moderately well informed, the food in the Yankee Doodle room indifferent.

Nassua Inn

Check in and check out were good. There were 2 weddings at the Inn that weekend. I love to see the bride and flowers and there were many opportunities. Because of the volume of guests we waited for things elvators, food but can't beat being right in the Center of towm.

excellent location

It was a pleasure to meet some people that staying the hotel, have distinctive features: warm families, cool women, businesmen etc. There were a lot of dining and shopping choices near the hotel. The big college is at walking distance.

Historic hotel - very pleasant and competitive pricewise with out of town hotels, but much nicer to stay in town.

Good location, average service

We went to visit our daughter at Princeton University. The hotel's location was excellent. The room was very small, room service vas average, while its price was more than average.

Great Location

This hotel is in a great location for visiting the Princeton campus. It is within walking distance of both the campus and the downtown area. The hotel itself is also quite nice, with an historic feel to it. Although the hotel is close to town, we didn't have any noise issues. The room we had was quiet and very comfortable, and the fitness center was decent. It was a very good value for the money and I would definitely stay there again. My only complaint would be about the staff, who could have been a bit friendlier in my opinion.

Great location, historic, a bit cramped

The location cannot be beat. The rooms are adequate, though small (particularly the bathrooms, which are downright Lilliputian). Because of its historic nature, rooms in the oldest sections are a bit lacking in things like outlets. But, what they lack in size they make up for in character. Internet access is available (free)in the lobby via wireless; it's extra in the rooms. Breakfast is available in the restaurant downstairs, which is fine but overpriced - you're better off eating elsewhere.

In the Heart of Princeton

The Nassau Inn is a Princeton institution. If you plan on visiting campus or enjoying the town and shopping, it is the best location and really the only place to stay right in the center of town. I grew up in the area, but now I am an out-of-towner that visits the area three or four times a year. I like to stay at the Nassau Inn because when I'm not visiting my relatives, I can hang out in one of many great coffee shops. Try Small World Coffee at either 14 Witherspoon Street or 254 Nassau Street. Make sure to visit the fabulous Princeton Library (only a block away from the hotel)and do some work or use a computer (you can get a guest pass for an hour). They have a great used book section by the front door where I always pick up something interesting, plus they have a little gift shop and a cafe. I like lunch or dinner at Teresa's Caffee on Palmer Square (right across from the front entrace to the Inn). It feels like a bit of NYC right in Princeton. Treat yourself to a blend-in at Thomas Sweet Ice Cream and Chocolate at 183 Nassau Street. In terms of the rooms, Nassau Inn has some great Internet rates. Mostly, I'm happy staying there. When I come with my two kids, we have always had a nice, spatious room (older in feeling), but perfectly fine and very quiet. I came alone a few months ago and had a smaller, older room at an Internet rate, but the walls were paper thin. I could EVERYTHING in the next room. It was the first time I was disappointed. I do love the Inn, however. I will, of course, stay again, but I'll make sure I get a quieter room. The staff is always very professional. They are used to a business and international client?le.
