Not a good experience!

Not a plesant experience. Hotel was old, terrible odors, stains on carpet, staff wouldn't answer phone. Requested a non-smoking room, didn't get one. Would not stay there again or recommend to a friend.

My fridge made an awful noise. When I complained, a surly gentleman replaced it with a quiet one but had an awful smell. They promised to clean its interior the next day, but never did. The last ESA I stayed in had breakfast, but not this one so don't look for that. Route 1 is a bad location because of a concrete median, so you can't turn left without going to the nearest exit for a u-turn.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Nearest good food store is a Wegman's Food Market, which the staff did not know about. It is on Nassau Park Boulevard which also has a Target, a Walmart(not supercenter), and a couple of eating places. The ESA is on Route 1 northbound and NPB tees into the southbound side, just south of the ESA. To get there, you need to go to the nearest U-turn and go a bit past the ESA on the southbound side.

No frills, but no problems

Everything was clean, adequate and good. Bare bones staff, vending machines only, no store in lobby. Had to pay an added fee to get "free wireless internet". Rooms have towels and TP and a bar of soap. That's it! NO shampoo?? really?? Nice to have a full fridge and microwave. Everything was clean and in good condition. Great place to stay just to sleep. But, for bare bones, I think the price was a little high.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Bring basic foods and drinks- nice full size fridge and microwave. Save alot of money having snacks and breakfast and beverages right in your room. Also, there's a whole foods market just a short drive away.
