Howard Johnson Express Inn - Parsippany

location is good, room is big enough especially the bathroom.everything is good.

Excellent. I used to live in North NJ and miss NYC and had doctor appts so I needed a place to stay that wasn't expensive. I stayed here before but made the mistake of staying on the ground floor and the laundry carts woke me EARLY and kept me awake all morning. This time I asked for a quieter room. I was put up on the 3rd floor and it was a much better quality and VERY quiet and comfortable. They need to add fruit to their breakfast menu. There isn't much of a selection of food.

It was a cold night with snow still on the sides of hte road. Dozens of people were coming in for shelter from their unheated homes. So for the price and convenience, it was what I needed and good to see that others benefited as well.

Just wanted a nice weekend away with my luv..nothing fancy.. and that exactly what I got. :)

We arrived at the hotel two hrs early, the desk attendant would not let us Check in early after we had been driving all day. The room was moist, and so was the bed. The air condition was not cold at all. The vent on the bathroom wall fell on my boyfriend while he was using the bathroom. I guess you really get what u pay for but I've seen better for the price I paid

Quiet and clean

Came to Parsippany, NJ for a wedding about 15 minutes away so we only stayed one Saturday night. Obviously you get what you pay for ($60 approx), the room was clean and nothing outstanding... the breakfast had the usual cereal and eggs from a box, and the waffle maker was horribly sticky so it made a mess, and the "business center" is actually an old, horribly slow desktop with an empty printer ($.25 per page of paper!) in the breakfast area. It obviously was just a place to sleep, and way cheaper than the Holiday or Ramada just down the road, but I wouldn't stay and expect great service, just a bed to sleep in, nothing more.

We were looking to have a clean room and safe property as we had very busy days planned and only expected to use the room to get some sleep. The hotel was clean the staff was helpful too. And to our pleasant surprise the price included an incredible breakfast, not the usual donut and coffee! They offered cereal, juice, coffee, tea, english muffins, muffins (a variety :-), and get this... scrambled eggs, and homemade while you wait delicious waffles! Also the hotel is right down the road from and easy off and on ramp to route 80! We were just 15 minutes from our conference and saved over $200 by staying here, we were thrilled! We also had a King Size Bed where many other hotels offer Queen or the budget hotels are offering 2 fulls. Room also had fridge, microwave, safe, coffee maker, iron, and hair dryer. Overall a very Good Value.

I am pretty low maintanence when it comes to hotels. I just need a working bathroom and clean sheets. The bathroom worked, but I was itching all night from the filthy sheets. The room also had a weird smell. Usually have a good experience with Howard Johnson. Need to do a better job of cleaning their sheets and the rooms.
