Embassy Suites Parsippany
The room was comfortable and clean. However, the service wasn't what I expected. The front desk on several occasions gave me wrong information about the hotel services. The hotel also has signs on the fifth floor to direct you to the Guest Laundry, when in fact there is no guest Laundry on the 5th floor. It's on the 3rd floor. Carelessness and ambivalence to their guests.

If you have children STAY AWAY
Put it this way. If you have children STAY AWAY from this hotel. I have 4 children ages 10, 8, 6 and 3 and we decided to spend a weekend away with a group of friends. The hotel location and the decor and layout of the hotel lobby is extremely beautiful, but that's were this paradise like vacation comes to a screeching halt! For the first time I have seen security guards yelling in terrifying authoritative voices on the children to "STOP RUNNING" (while the kids were walking) and "GET OUT, GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM" (whilst the children were playing nicely in the large lobby - together with their parents - at 2:25pm mind you). I mean, this was a real nightmare, as a parent I would be scared to come here again! When we spoke to the "manager" [...] he threatened to have us escorted out of the hotel by the police, however when I mentioned that I will leave 'nice' reviews on websites such as google, [...], hotels etc. he changed his voice and promised that the yelling will stop.It helped for about 2 hours and then again the yelling security personnel reemerged with a vengeance. So, to recap, our weekend stay a this hotel was a complete disaster, the hotel management were so not professional and so not accommodating, the hotel acted in an extremely offensive manner and the message we got was "CHILDREN ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!!!!" I for one will NEVER visit this hotel again!

Nice Facilities, Subpar Rooms
The curb appeal and the atrium/facilities etc. were very nice and well-maintained. The in-house restaraunt was also good for the lite dinner we had. The rooms, at least the two we saw, were not up to Embassy Suites standards. From the water-swelled bathroom door and trim, to the neon orange band-aid still stuck to the shower surround from some previous occupants to the musty smells to the unclean sheets in the sofa bed to the unbelievably uncomfortable 4 inch thick coil mattress on the same, this will not be a repeat in Parsippany. Compared to the Embassy Suites on the Canadian Side of Niagra Falls, this one needs to have the rooms and the breakfast buffet completely reworked.

Bad in declared snow state emergencies
Very busy due to snow blizzard. Ran out of breakfast food. Would not give even exchange rate for next night since we could not drive on roads due to declared state of emergency. We had to pay a higher rate since we came the next night. We understand rate was nonrefundable but these were extraordinary circumstances.

THE TRUTH
My husband and I decided to book a room at Embassy Suites Parsippany this Christmas to visit family in NJ. The experience was NOT a good one. A large religious group checked into the hotel the same day we did. The group consisted of about 200 adults and children. The parents allowed the children to run and scream throughout the hotel 24hrs. a day! We could not sleep, or relax at any time of the day. These children were banging on doors and riding luggage carts through the hotel the entire 3 days they were there. We complained to the front desk along with several other hotel guests. They said they had a manager as well as security trying to handle the situation. Whatever! Kick them out!!!!! Our $$$$$$ is just as good as theirs and they behaved like animals. I WILL say that the front desk employees were very pleasant, but I blame the hotel in general for not handling the situation. It ruined our christmas. Other than that, the rooms our fine for the price, but the lack of sleep and peace was NOT worth the price. We will not return next Christmas. We will go back to the Sheraton Parsippany.

Embassy Suites
previously room was clean, I had a huge dead spider hanging from the chair - there was a jelly bean and lots of lint in the bedroom - never got cleaned. The cleaning staff left the toilet seat up when they were done - nasty! Hair in the shower - not a nice experience.

lots of kids on the weekends
Nice Embassy Suites (as usual) the only downside to this hotels eems to be the fact that on the weekends the hotel caters to groups of pre-teens having birthday parties. There were probably 20 parties there that weekend, with 40+ people in the pool. So many in fact that the pool was closed down on sunday so that the filter could catch up with the bather load. Water got kind of gross. Also, the lines at breakfast were quite long.
